An article that been involved with ( Gamergate (harassment campaign) ) has content that is proposed to be removed and moved to another article ( Impact of Gamergate). If you are interested, please visit the discussion. Thank you. Mathglot ( talk) 08:56, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi all, I'm considering splitting History of tattooing into a separate article on indigenous and traditional tattooing practices. Given the size of the article, it doesn't feel very readable and I think having a separate page would allow people to expand on the contemporary practices of these traditions. I'm alerting some of the WikiProjects attached to the article; please let me know if you have any concerns or objections to this idea :) ForsythiaJo ( talk) 03:28, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
So I don't know what this even is, even after scanning the article a few times. It's very jargony, and abstract without getting to the point of what it really is, how it impacts the world, and where it came from. At the very least, it doesn't do a good job explaining the subject to an outsider with an outsider perspective. 10:35, 3 March 2024 (UTC) Harizotoh9 ( talk) 10:35, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I wanted to start a discussion on the potential redundancies or connections between these two articles, as they have very similar subjects but have been developed in complete ignorance of one another; I found the article on body theory while trying to gather sources on a related topic, and ended up making a number of substantial changes to the article before I found out about the existence of an article on sociology of the body.
Both I and the original creator of the article have what I would describe as an only incidental familiarity with body theory so I ask if someone with expertise in the topic can look over "body theory" to make sure all of the information is relevant and to make sure both articles establish the connection between their subjects correctly.
The "Origin and development" section of body theory should be the only major area of overlap at the moment, and if body theory ends up just being a sub-topic of sociology of the body it should be easy enough to just add a sentence reading "body theory is distinguished from the wider study of the sociology of the body by lorem ipsum dolor" to the lead.
