I started the task force as an empty framework to give others the opportunity to weigh in. Feel free to boldly edit or propose and discuss ideas here. – dlthewave ☎ 15:12, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for creating this task force. I'm curious, when the project have an assessment table showing article quality and WikiProject priorities? How about a showcase highlighting Good and Featured articles and lists? --- Another Believer ( Talk) 23:07, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
Should we include a link to WikiProject Firearms, as a related project? --- Another Believer ( Talk) 23:09, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
Hello Buddies from this project :-) I'm working at the Port Arthur massacre. See Talk:Port_Arthur_massacre_(Australia)#Improvement_of_Article_/_Wikipedia:WikiProject_Politics/Gun_politics. I would really appreciate it if you have a look ... perhaps leave some criticisms ... or happily give hints and support a little in editing the article. Have a nice weekend. I recently added an Open discussions section to the project page, but another editor has raised campaigning concerns since other projects were not notified. Do folks feel that this is a useful/appropriate addition to the project? I'd like to see uninvolved editors weigh in on the potential canvassing issue elsewhere but also get a feel for whether or not this something we would like to include. – dlthewave ☎ 18:18, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
A discussion related to this project, regarding AR-15 style rifle, has been opened at Reliable sources noticeboard. – dlthewave ☎ 15:01, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

An RfC related to this topic, Wound characteristics of military-style rifles, has been opened at Reliable sources noticeboard. – dlthewave ☎ 20:09, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
I've written an essay related to this topic, How a project advice page was enforced as policy for ten years, which documents a group of editors who enforced the WP:Firearms advice page as policy. Feel free to comment or suggest changes and additions at my talk page. – dlthewave ☎ 22:00, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
I got a templated invitation from an IP to join this wikiproject, with no indication why I (out of all wikipedians) was asked. Are there criteria being applied, or is this entirely arbitrary? (Hint: there's a correct answer.) LeadSongDog come howl! 17:17, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

I was involved with the fight against SAPOs in Oregon so I have legal documents (but they are not links) from several sides of the issue. I do not know how to add them to articles.
There is a lot of information missing from the "Second Amendment sanctuary" article such as timelines of opposition and how the movement changed each time it was shut down. Instead, the article looks like one long list of successes when that is not the case. The article appears to be entirely biased in favor of the movement. Is there a way to make this article more balanced or at best neutral? In fact, I'm noticing that the article was created after the Sanctuary movement had to change tactics when the movement was shut down in Oregon in January of 2019. I'm uncomfortable about how this article is being formulated and when it appears to have been created - February of 2019. I hope I am messaging correctly. I just created an account today to hopefully figure out how to correct that article.

For example, this article I am referencing from Oregon Public Broadcasting pointed out that this was a militia "movement" to subvert state senate by giving Constitutional authority to County Sheriffs in Oregon and also showed that these militia members were threatening people in Oregon who opposed it. I have documentation of those members threatening Sheriff candidates if they opposed it also. I do not believe the issue is a simple list of "resolutions" as the current article defines the term. I believe that it is a "movement" that changes tactics after key losses. The current wikipedia article does not indicate any of their losses. Cite error: There are <ref>

Hi WikiProject Gun Politics. I made some suggestions to update/correct the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, and was wondering if a reviewer(s) from this project was able to take a look since the article is about a legal research center. I have a conflict of interest, so I can't edit the article directly myself. The requests that need review are here Talk:Giffords_Law_Center_to_Prevent_Gun_Violence#Updates_to_Improve_Article_-_June_14,_2022. Thanks. Brooklyn1576 ( talk) 17:40, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
