  1. User:Mr. Stradivarius - I received the email, but it turns out that I already had JSTOR access through my old university so I never followed the link in it.   4. Jagged 85: The message at User talk:Jagged 85#WP:JSTOR access is to a banned user who has been indeffed since September 2012 (background here). That's nearly two years ago, so it's hard to see how the message could occur now. Johnuniq ( talk) 22:54, 5 August 2014 (UTC) reply

Dwpaul: I did not receive a message from Sadads on my Talk page, but I did sign up for JSTOR access on June 23 and received an emailed request from Madmanbot on July 22 that I complete a Google Docs form to confirm my request for access. I did so immediately on July 22. I have received no further communication from JSTOR or from anyone else concerning access to JSTOR, other than The Interior assuring me on his Talk page that it is in the works.   28. Bfpage I am pretty grateful to have been approved to use JSTOR through Wikipedia. I received the email asking me to supply my username and email address which I filled out and submitted. This is as far as the process has moved forward for me. I've checked my talk page and there are no messages concerning JSTOR access for me. Is there something else I need to do?   29. Grolltech Last year, I did a free registration on the JSTOR site using the same "Grolltech" username – that only gives me 3 articles every two weeks. I received your email and filled out the form about a month ago, and then deleted your email. I have not received confirmation, either via email or talk page, and my account is still limited.     The problem CasualObserver refers to is specific to Yahoo Mail accounts. I switched my email account from Yahoo some weeks ago and can now receive Wikipedia emails, so this is not my problem. John M Baker ( talk) 11:09, 29 August 2014 (UTC) reply

My final confirmation took several months, don't give up. I managed to register with an email account I don't often use. Something may depend of the quality and/or quantity of your contributions to WP, although I have no idea if this is really the case. (Have you created a new article recently?) By the way, thank you, JSTOR-type people, for allowing me this privilege; it has opened up a whole new source of reliable information, and I feel that this access to quality, relatively up-to-date research is a major contribution towards an overall improvement of WP.
