In 1900 Muslims only numbered 200 million followers or 12% of the world population. This percentage drastically increased over the last 100 years due to higher birth rate in Muslim majority countries. [1] [2] Pew Research have estimated the number will be around 2.2 billion in 2030 and 2.8 billion, or 30 percent of world population, in 2050. [3] [4]
In Muslim world article user Manticore had deleted this sentences with different reason. First he claimed it was out of topic, poor written (it could targetted non English contributors), and wikipedia not a Crystal Glass (but in Religion Growth Population had cited Pew Research estimated). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Humanise ( talk • contribs) 07:43, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi I think this list seriously needs to be re-organized. There are a lot of members with only a small amount of edits in the top part of the list. --Peace world 19:34, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
To re-organize I'm proposing to set up a criteria for editors to be listed in the active members list. My preliminary thought is to place a minimum requirement of 1000 edits (which is the limit ive used to move down some of the editors). However, that doesn't necessarily give any indication to the quality of the editor in general and contributions to the Islam related articles in particular. The point of this is that it should help to give a more focus strategy in teamwork between more active members. Thoughts? --Peace world 21:35, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
Does the list of members have any purpose at all? William M. Connolley ( talk) 18:19, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi everyone, I have created a preliminary template to help forward the discussion. See here. I think a template would serve the purpose better than a section, to be placed below the current template on WP:WikiProject Islam. Please give ideas and thoughts. Thankyou! --Peace world 22:33, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
oh dear...the response is not very promising. I really think it's pretty innovative idea and very useful way of improving articles. However, not enough people have shown interest for it to be feasible so for now this idea unfortunately has to be terminated. Thank you to all those who showed an interest and responded. --Peace world 15:29, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
