Explanation of decision

As this is a close call, I would like to note two key factors in deciding that consensus to make User:Kafziel an administrator had not been reached. Before closing the nomination, I paid close attention to the reasons given for both support and opposition. A number of valid reasons were given both in support and in opposition, with the majority of users supporting the nomination.

  1. The history of the nomination shows that for most of the voting period, support was slightly below or at 80%.
  2. A 24 hour extension did not bring the nomination closer to consensus, and in general took it further away.

If anyone has any further questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page, or the bureaucrats' noticeboard. Warofdreams talk 04:02, 29 November 2006 (UTC) reply
