diff and the answer to your optional question; I don't think HSB is responding too well to negative comment. If HSB is unable to learn from the opposes then there is the risk of turning a potentially good editor (and one day admin) sour.

I think it's good to get a wide variety of opinions at RFA's. Perhaps he can use the advice to improve his editing habits, which is better than a simple mentorship from one person.
