This project page is for the cause of Wikipedia for World Heritage.
In 2011, Wikipedia celebrated its 10th anniversary – a grand occasion to honor the great things several people have achieved working together, but also to ensure the continued existence of Wikipedia as a platform for free knowledge.
This achievement has made Wikipedia a pioneer of cultural change, as Wikipedia has transferred the tradition of knowledge into the new, digital age, thus creating a unique place for knowledge exchange in the history of mankind.
This is why, as a global cultural achievement, Wikipedia deserves recognition and protection as UNESCO’s first digital World Cultural Heritage Site.
Sign the petition and/or add your name to the project list, so we can bring change and lead ourselves into the digital world!
The project's scope is to get Wikipedia users to sign the online petition ( consult the FAQ).
