This is the WikiProject Louisville Participation and outreach department, a starting point for participation in our project. As our project follows the model of an action center, working in the project in an official basis means that instead of acting as members of a club, we become listed participants who voluntarily work on the project's tasks, with no deadline.
Here are things new participants in WikiProject Louisville are encouraged to do:
WikiProject Louisville/Participation is a
participant in
WikiProject Louisville, an open collaborative effort to coordinate and develop appropriate, comprehensive and well-connected content covering
metropolitan
Louisville, Kentucky and related subjects in the Wikipedia.

Even though listing oneself below isn't required, following are the benefits and responsibilities of being a listed participant in WikiProject Louisville:
To become a listed participant, add your linked username and optional comments about yourself to the Active participants list.
If you don't want to receive any newsletters from the project, please add your username to this list:
Project participants who would like to help decide what our current action items are should add themselves to this list.
Project participants who have an extensive knowledge of WikiProject structure and/or template development are encouraged to add themselves to this list. Normally, those listed here will make the significant changes (outside of grammar, link fixes and such) to our various project pages and templates.
Inviting users to join us: If you see a user whose edits indicate they have significant knowledge related to the Louisville metropolitan area, and they aren't already a listed participant, you can place our invitation banner {{ subst:WPLouInvite}} on their user talk page. Don't forget to sign with "~~~~".
Welcoming new participants: If you see that an editor has newly listed themselves as a participant in our project, please feel free to place our welcome banner {{ subst:WPLouWelcome}} on their user talk page. Again, don't forget to sign with "~~~~".
