Welcome to the LGBT in the United States work group of WikiProject LGBT studies! This group was formed to better coordinate efforts to create and improve articles on LGBT rights, topics, and personalities in the United States.

This group includes within its scope all articles related to LGBT topics, personalities, history and culture in the United States. Primarily, it centers on LGBT rights in various states, which editors can self-assign themselves to in order to better coordinate keeping the information up to date, as many are currently out-date or generally not caught up with recent waves of anti-LGBT legislation. Generally, it serves as a way to improve Wikipedia's ability to identify topics in need of attention, such as missing articles, articles with sourcing problems, articles that need expansion, and so on and so forth.
