Notice of obsolescence:
Community sanctions in this area of conflict have been superseded by an
Arbitration Committee sanctions regime. As a result, this community sanctions-related page is now obsolete, is retained only for historical reference, and should not be modified. For more information about Arbitration Committee sanctions, see
this page. For the specific Committee decision that rescinded or modified these community sanctions, see
Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Editor conduct in e-cigs articles (closed on 17 November 2015).
This page is a log for a community-authorised discretionary sanctions regime. It is used to record notifications issued and sanctions imposed under that regime, as specified below. Changes to this page must adhere to the discretionary sanctions procedure. |
Sanctions imposed cannot be undone by another administrator without approval of the sanctioning administrator or an appeal at the administrators' noticeboard. Pages may be tagged with {{ Ecig sanctions}}, which can be used to indicate that articles are within the scope of these sanctions. Prior to being sanctioned, editors must be notified of these sanctions with the {{ subst:Gs/Ecig notification}} template. Use the {{ subst:Community sanction}} template when imposing sanctions. For blocks, use {{ subst:Uw-csblock}}.
The community authorizes general sections for all articles related to electronic cigarettes, broadly construed.
Editors who have been notified of the existence of these sanctions should be logged here, along with a diff of the notification. For consistency, the template {{ subst:Gs/Ecig notification}} should be used. The appropriate procedure for notifying editors of the existence of these sanctions is described here.
Log blocks, topic bans or other administrative actions here. Include diffs, username, action-date-time-duration etc, diffs of any evidence, administrator user name. Use the {{ subst:Community sanction}} template when imposing sanctions. For blocks, use {{ subst:Uw-csblock}}.
