Campaign logo for a perennial candidate used under a claim of fair use in an article about the candidate himself. The logo is not mentioned at all in the article and we normally would only only consider the logo in an article about his campaign for purposes of identification - in his biography, it's purely decorative. - Logo itself does not need to be mentioned in the article. Only the campaign need be mentioned. As the nominator mentions, campaign logos are used in campaign articles for purposes of identification. Campaign articles are nothing more than extensions of bios broken off due to size. A link to the candidate's website or to a candidate list from the state Board of Elections would be sufficient for that. The purpose of images on Wikipedia (fair use or otherwise) is never to prove a disputed fact. Rather, the purpose of images is to help the reader understand the topic. (

- A graphic display of a logo allows a reader to better understand "the campaign's existence and legitimacy." It is a graphical display of an organization. In this case that organization is a presidential campaign. The article is not John Wolfe presidential campaign, 2012 because there is no size reasons in this case to split the main article into a campaign article. If the main John Wolfe article grew too large then there would be reason to create a campaign article and I doubt there'd be any dispute here.-- William S. Saturn ( talk) 22:09, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

The logo is not mentioned at all in the article and we normally would only only consider the logo in an article about his campaign for purposes of identification - in his biography, it's purely decorative. A link to the candidate's website or to a candidate list from the state Board of Elections would be sufficient for that. The purpose of images on Wikipedia (fair use or otherwise) is never to prove a disputed fact. Rather, the purpose of images is to help the reader understand the topic. (

- A graphic display of a logo allows a reader to better understand "the campaign's existence and legitimacy." It is a graphical display of an organization. In this case that organization is a presidential campaign. The article is not John Wolfe presidential campaign, 2012 because there is no size reasons in this case to split the main article into a campaign article. If the main John Wolfe article grew too large then there would be reason to create a campaign article and I doubt there'd be any dispute here.-- William S. Saturn ( talk) 22:09, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
