I made this request for the first time in May of 2007. The user:Eleos made two edits to the sandbox, and has done nothing since. The original request for usurpation was denied based on two edits in the sandbox. I am asking that the request be revisited. Thank you.

Done - The edits to this project are not problematic. That said, normally I would have declined a request where there is a user on another project with 90 edits, as they have a prior claim to the global name. However, on review of their edits, I see they were all to one article and introduced a copyvio. They were then resulted. As these cannot have GFDL significance, I will perform this rename. Usurpation is a courtesy we extend to users in good standing, which Prom3th3an is not. He has a history of selectively editing his history here to hide the fact that he has fomented a large number of disputes - e.g, he is a troll. This request is denied. You have recently been in a dispute with him, and you have made very clear your desire to get him off Wikipedia. I said you were not a user in good standing - the fact that you barely avoided being community banned 2 days ago is pretty conclusive evidence of this. The vast majority voted against the ban, one user labelled it wiki drama and most said it was pre-mature. So if I propose a ban agaisnt you and it gets knocked back overwhelmingly, does that mean you no longer in good standing? thats what you imply. The blocks were very "Very minor disruption" (Ryanposs said that, one of the blocking admins) Also the words quoted are from the top of the page not you. The fact that some people felt that it was premature to permanently ban you most certainly does not make you an editor in good standing. The facts are that you have, on numerous occasions [2] [3] [4] [5] [6], made personal attacks on other users, and disrupted wikipedia - that is why you are not an editor in good standing. This is an absolute farce - I can't believe what I'm seeing up above. Raul, you are clearly the wrong person to be making this sort of judgement call, especially for such a minor rename which would not make identifying Prom difficult at all. This request should not be denied at all, he has two blocks for minor infringements and the ban discussion failed quite strongly just a few days ago. Prom is still an editor in good standing here, up until the point he's banned or placed under some community restrictions, neither of which have occurred thus far and I doubt will occur in the near future. I'm going to take on an informal mentoring role with Prom and I suspect we won't see any further minor problems we've seen in the past. I think I agree with Ryan. I advise Raul as a Wikipedian to a Wikipedian to step away from this particular request. Considering that you were involved in a dispute with Prom, it seems that an impartial bureaucrat should at least give a second opinion. Although the edits made to this project do not preclude usurpation in my view, I note that an account with this name has made 30 edits to dewiki. That account is the "home wiki" for the global name Promethean and thus the operator of that account has the best claim to usurp the name here. I do not think it is acceptable for enwiki users to ask bureaucrats to help them get into positions where they have superior claims to global accounts than the editor at the current home wiki, nor do I think creating new SUL conflicts at this stage is a good idea. On reflecting about the issues raised by this request, I believe it should be performed. Now that the account has been unified, Prom3th3an is the owner of this name globally. It would not be appropriate to allow anyone else to usurp the name on this project. There is some merit to Raul654's logic - we don't allow usurpation by very new accounts so good use is made of the names, therefore to allow an account likely to be indefinitely blocked in the near future would be a waste. That said, assuming that a user with some conduct issues will inevitably be banned at a later date seems totally contrary to the principle that we assume good faith, which much presumably extend to the possibility of reform. A recent discussion found no consensus to ban Prom3th3an, suggesting that the community is of the impression his misconduct has either not been particularly serious or that is capable of improvement. It is also worth noting that block logs no longer become detached whilst accounts are renamed, so a rename would not obfuscate past issues. In any event, the logic of putting names to good use doesn't run very far now that Prom3th3an is, by virtue of having obtained control of the Promethean global account, the only one who can use the name on this project anyway. I have to agree with Will. Promethean did create an account on simple wiki today and gain control of the account. Raul654 is a crat and welcome on this CHUU board but we all know admins/crats should not take actions in cases in which they are involved and Raul654 is certainly involved in this case. I also ask him to reconsider his position here. As for usurping, Promethean does have the SUL rights to this name. The only remaining question about "well-established/good standing". Promethean's edits certainly make him well-established. Is he in good-standing--depends on how you define that (block log, likelihood to be indef'd, record of disruption, is the user banned, etc). Given that there was no consensus to ban him a few days ago, I have to say he's in good standing for rename purposes. In any formal sense he is in good standing. He has made some egregious errors, but I believe others are working with him on these issues, which were more drama and breaches of AGF than anything one would normally worry about (we see neither article vandalism nor POV pushing for instance). Certainly the respelling of the username is not going to be a scrutiny issue as it's clearly identified as the same user, and as WJB has observed (and I can confirm, as I noticed it recently on a renamed user) block logs now follow a user around. I'm sympathetic to Raul's concerns, but I would also like to point out that, all considerations of standing aside, this rename could only minimally distance Prom3th3an from his former name, since the new name is orthographically almost identical, especially since '3' and 'e' belong to an orthographic equivalence class in l33tspeak and other discourses. Thanks, I have one more thing to add and that is this: This has been a David vs. Goliath battle by principle, At the start the username change was just a nicety I could have lived without it, but as the discussion progressed it became more about moral principles than anything else. At any point I could have attacked Raul again for being punitive and mean-spirited as I was furious because I like others saw through the charade, But I didn’t instead I found going about things the right way and letting things pan out got me further, a valuable lesson, its restored some of my faith. The remark from Raul above is nothing but a final slap in the face from someone who obviously felt that he had lost. If you felt you lost Raul please remember two things, A) There are no winners or losers on wikipedia B) You should have more faith in the Community's and other crat's ability to make its/their own judgements C) Every editor no matter how "influential", is answerable for his actions and motives. The good news is that you are the holder of the right to rename all your accounts to Jafet, since you are the account with most edits (on all wikis - confirmation). Some of those other accounts, one on the Italian Wikipedia for example, was created back in 2006. However, since this English Wikipedia account is held by no-one as part of SUL, you should be able to rename to this in a week's time - the time taken so the user can return to view the message and raise any possible objections. I made a request already in the August of 2007, which was rejected back then due to me not appearing as an established user. (as seen in this revision) Now I have been a registered member for over an year, I have edited and created more pages (in addition to the edits I have done without logging in, before and after registering), and I have the account name Bgt in the Finnish version and my personal web page comes as a first hit when searching for the word "bgt" (at least in the Finnish Google).
