However, should that name not appear like a good idea, it's not a big deal. I would also take "User:+1", or "User:Eason" (because of "use reason"; but I'm afraid that it could be seen as inflammatory by a few and so I didn't request that name). Reason: This is a personal preference for a user name change, I prefer a user name that isn't so close to my real name.

Reason: I want my username in en.wikipedia same with my account in id.wikipedia and jv.wikipedia because in id.wikipedia and jv.wikipedia I had renamed to (21 Sept 2007). Thanks before.

Reason: Correct capitalisation of my username (I have been signing KissL for practically all the time I've been around). The account "KissL" was registered by me as a doppelganger account at a time when renames were not possible, so it will need to be renamed first (see next section, to be added in a few minutes). Obviously, I would like to re-register "Kissl" as a doppelganger right after the rename. The best would be to just exchange the two usernames if that is technically possible. Thanks,

On google I've found a few more "Fire Stars", they are all comic book characters or kid's literature. I've found only a few direct references to "Bradeos Graphon", ancient Greek for "slow scribe", which I hope is more adult yet affording at least some opportunity for a smile from a reader. Thanks for your consideration. --

Bots are automated processes; you were likely messaged to change this because it's confusing to other editors. -Jéské(

A change in user name will only stop the harrassment if my old user page and user talk page would NOT link to the new user page. If there is a link, the vandal could just memorize my new user name and continue the non-stop harrassment. If there is no way to change my user name without linking my old user page to my new, then there is no reason to change names and I will just abandon the user name 'Cynrin'.
Cynrin 19:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)reply
There is a way. Just request that the redirects to your new name be deleted. The administrators will be happy to oblige. -Jéské(

Done. Please put a note on your userpage indicating the rename. Since the person vandalising the page will never reach that page since you say they can't figure it out, there's no security problem from doing so. --

Bureaucrat note: I'm rather reluctant to rename people to numbers given how easily they could be confused with other users editing using similar numbers. --
Deskana(talk) 00:32, 29 September 2007 (UTC)reply
The probability of that happening should be rather low, considering that the username is displayed as a hyperlink everywhere, and would thereby link only to one page.
Pills4(

You seem to be missing the point of what I'm saying. For example, were someone to register another similar name such as
41 (
talk·contribs), you could be very easily confused. I'd rather you chose a different name. --

Bureaucrat note: They can't make the new account for capitalisation and spacing issues as the softwrae won't let them.
Secretlondon 10:33, 3 October 2007 (UTC)reply
Reason: While I think it's good to have a personal username, it shouldn't be too private and I have changed my mind about my current account name for that reason. My account has already been renamed once, on April 12 (although it doesn't show up in
archive 23). I have given it some thought, and I really like "Dorftrottel", which is German for "village idiot". It's not at all private, but distinctive enough. However, should that name not appear like a good idea, it's not a big deal. I would also take "User:+1", or "User:Eason" (because of "use reason"; but I'm afraid that it could be seen as inflammatory by a few and so I didn't request that name). Or if all else fails, "User:Ollback" (not really, of course). — aldebaer 03:21, 3 October 2007 (UTC)reply
