- All things considered, this is "just" a redirect. Can't we acknowledge that nothing currently fits in
Category:Fictional Qatari people, move on and leave good-faith editors place redirects in the most appropriate eligible categories per
WP:RCAT? If you ask me, this belongs in
Category:Sports mascots and nowhere else. Mascots aren't really fictional characters, they don't really have a story to them and are more akin to a logotype.

- There is general consensus that "so and so in fiction" allows anything to be included as long as it has a trivial mention of that thing. Thus, they have built up tons of unrelated articles.
- There's a broad overall trend of any "in fiction" categories being moved, because "about X" is much more clear on what they should contain.

One might question whether this naming pattern is really the best possible fix; I prefer the main topic to come first, and only later the “in fiction”. But this is not the place to discuss this, and I trust you that there's general consensus to name such cats "Fiction about ...". If that is so, please add that to WP:NONDEF, ideally with the rationale you just gave, so others understand what you mean when you refer to it. - There is general consensus that "so and so in fiction" allows anything to be included as long as it has a trivial mention of that thing. Thus, they have built up tons of unrelated articles.

- Nominator's rationale: What exactly this category refers to is unclear. It appears to contain video games people arbitrarily think are violent, and a few controversies about video game violence. - Support in principle, but I wonder if there would not be room for a Category:Iraqi diaspora in Egypt. Chaldeans are an ethnoreligious group strongly associated with Iraq, part of the content is already in Category:Iraqi diaspora in the Middle East and there is also Category:Egyptian people of Iraqi descent and Category:Iraqi expatriates in Egypt that would fit there.
