Keep until we have a meaningful conversation about the whole "by occupation" category. (oh and suicides by hanging by country is very much "good grief"-worthy. Talk about a random intersection...)

Comment next we'll have suicide by race and ethnicity because WP so loves to categorize the misfortunes. Is there any link between being a mathematician and suicide. Somewhere I read that there is among dentists, but hey math can be boring too. (bad pun).

'Suicides by dietary preference' perhaps.

WP:OCTrivial could not be more applicable. What would be next? Mathematicians over 6' tall, Mathematicians who are Scorpios, Mathematicians whose last name rhymes with 'fish'... --

Delete and fell the whole tree. Unless suicide is more prevalent among certain occupations, this split is a trivial one.

Nominator's rationale:Delete. Overcategorization per
WP:OC#PERF. Members of a production crew are not literal "performers", but it is analogous to this type of overcategorization. With very few exceptions (e.g., for producers and directors), we don't categorize people by being a member of the production crew of any T.V. series or film. For those concerned about losing information,
List of Futurama crew seems to deal with this topic.

Delete. I created the category because I didn't realize it counted as overcategorization. However, if it does, I'm fine with it being deleted. I have already removed all of the pages that I put in the category.

Upmerge per nom; one person's freedom fighter is another's terrorist.
