Propose renaming Category:Texas Tech University System chancellors to Category:Chancellors of Texas Tech University
Nominator's rationale: Most chancellors are chancellors of a system; that is, they oversee not only the main campus but satellites as well. The naming system in Category:Presidents by university or college in the United States (which includes chancellors and superintendents) always uses "Chancellors of (school name)," without "system."-- Mike Selinker ( talk) 18:56, 26 October 2011 (UTC) reply
Comment: Texas Tech University System is a separate entity that oversees three separate universities: Angelo State University, Texas Tech University, and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. All three are considered separate institutions, each with separate branch campuses. Unlike the University of California, the entity that oversees all institutions in the system, Texas Tech University System includes "System" in its name. This is a common practice for university systems in Texas including: Texas State University System, Texas A&M University System, the University of Houston System, the University of North Texas System, and the University of Texas System. The proposed category would be inaccurate as there is no "Chancellor" of just Texas Tech University, only the Texas Tech University System. To conform with the other categories, a more appropriate name would be Category:Chancellors of Texas Tech University System similar to the existing Category:Chancellors of the University of Houston System. I would be okay with Category:Chancellors of the Texas Tech University System (note the "the").-- Mike Selinker ( talk) 03:25, 27 October 2011 (UTC) reply
Yes, "the" is needed and would better match other TTUS categories. NThomas ( talk) 04:57, 27 October 2011 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Delete There's not a well-defined Kelmend region and in fact, defining its contours appears to be a political statement. Accordingly, the current article on the subject is full of disputed content. So this seems like a really bad idea for a category that should be populated objectively and unambiguously. Nominator's rationale: Delete This category merges books published in 1801, poems published in 1801, newspapers first published in 1801 and authors first published in 1801. But we already have Category:1801 books, Category:1801 poems, Category:1801 works and Category:Publications established in 1801 to handle all that except the authors but even if we did categorize authors along those lines, it certainly wouldn't be under that title. My additional concern is that in names of Wikipedia categories, the term "publications" is used almost solely in the very restrictive sense of newspapers, journals, magazines and other periodicals.
