Redirect attempts contested multiple times. Not enough in-depth coverage to meet WP:GNG. Jalen Folf (talk) 15:57, 25 December 2022 (UTC) reply

  • Keep I created this page for Mike Gabler and it seems that there's been quite a bit of back and forth between it being deleted or staying. When I created the article, I didn't really know how to properly cite it, so if there's anything that can be done to add to it and make it more acceptable, please let me know. Every other winner of Survivor has their own Wikipedia page, so I believe this should be no different. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coltyn1234 ( talkcontribs) 18:19, 27 December 2022 (UTC) reply
Comment: WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS should not apply here. Just because other winners of the series have articles does not automatically assume the necessity for an article on this person. It still needs to meet notability guidelines. Jalen Folf (talk) 18:22, 27 December 2022 (UTC) reply
I'm object. The original editor has give more then enough for notability guidelines. I have read the notability guidelines the one that the People Magazine published is more then enough. and He had given 16 different sources, how is that not enough? Maryanne Oketch page only has 5 articles and no one questioned it yet Thomas Sussek ( talk) 15:51, 31 December 2022 (UTC) reply
There is more then enough Credible sources to keep the page to exist Thomas Sussek ( talk) 15:54, 31 December 2022 (UTC) reply
  • Keep. Winning a major show like Survivor is an automatic GNG pass. Secondary sources report on him from winning the game, and they've decided he's notable on those grounds. DrewieStewie ( talk) 11:12, 1 January 2023 (UTC) reply

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: Please note that simply winning a show is not an automatic GNG pass: to pass GNG, in-depth independent reliable sources are needed.

Seems that historical precedent in regards to Survivor and media coverage says otherwise. DrewieStewie ( talk) 07:51, 2 January 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Keep the article does give a lot of references talking about the subject. Outside of WP:1E I think this shows notability. I'd like more speaking about his life, but there seems to be WP:SIGCOV to me. Lee Vilenski ( talkcontribs) 21:20, 2 January 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Keep as a Survivor winner, Gabler should receive an automatic pass into Wikipedia. How would Maryanne Oketch or Erika Casupanan or any of the other winners like it if they were deleted? Gabler probably feels the same way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.103.179.19 ( talk) 17:04, 6 January 2023 (UTC) reply
