Sulmuesi ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), who is the same user as Sulmues ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), was a highly active Albanian editor who had racked up a long log of block and sanctions due to disruptive behavior. He had expressed concern about this in the past [1]. Following a two week block and a six month 1RR restriction for edit-warring, he created two other accounts, Makaperqafe ( talk · contribs), which he declared was his, and PacioliKPMG ( talk · contribs), a sleeper account. Ostensibly he created Makaperqafe because he "lost" his password, but he also created the PacioliKPMG account. The point here is that deceptive sockpuppetry is not past this user. When his block expired, he resumed editing under the "Sulmuesi" account, which stopped editing abruptly and without warning on November 23 2010. He had been extremely active at that point (almost 500 edits/day). I believe Doktor Plumbi is a sock of Sulmues/Sulmuesi, created for the purpose of achieving his stated goal of a clean start and a clean block log. The evidence is as follows:

  • His very first edit is to the discussion of an obscure article, not typical of a new user [2]. I’m guessing he followed the contribs of one of the main participants, possibly User:Antidiskriminator with whom Sulmues had frequently clashed in the past.
  • Still his first day editing, he participates at two AfD discussions [3] [4], which is atypical for a new user. Note that he makes arguments that show knowledge of Wikipedia policy.
  • Several other of his very first edits show great knowledge of Wikipedia and are atypical of a new user [5] [6] [7] (familiarity with wikimarkup, wikiprojects and ratings, cite templates)
  • Here [8] he evidently followed the contribs of User:Nipsonanomhmata. Again note the knowledge of Wikipedia policy. Here he creates a cat [9].
  • Editing the Wikiproject Albania showcase [10] [11], another insider page, and one with which Sulmues/Sulmuesi was obsessed with [12].
  • Creating redirects on his third day editing [13].

At this point is fairly obvious that Doktor Plumbi is not a new editor. Several users have expressed a concern that this may be the case [14] [15].

  • Sulmues always liked to use his Italian at every opportunity [16]. DP also speaks Italian (see his user page)
  • Referring to User:Antidiskriminator as “Antid” DP: [17], S: [18]
  • Referring to User: Future Perfect at Sunrise as “FPS”: DP: [19], S: [20]
  • One of Sulmues' most prolific activities was changing the ratings of articles tagged with WP:SQ [21] [22]. DP: [23] [24].
  • Another favorite activity was serially tagging articles with WP:SQ. S: [25] [26], DP: [27]. Such serial tagging behavior is moreover atypical for a new user.
  • Whenever an Albanian editor created a new article, Sulmues followed close behind, "processing" the article, and in particular adding cats using HotCat [28] [29] [30]. Doktor Plumbi does exactly the same [31] [32]. This happens in very obscure, quasi-orphaned articles, which suggests contribs following or off-wiki communication
  • Sulmues was an avid soccer fan, and many of his edits were about Albanian soccer [33]. Ditto with DP: [34].
  • Large of edits and high editing rate, dozens per day, sometimes several mechanical edits per minute (changing WP:SQ rating, tagging with WP:SQ) DP: [35] [36], [37], S: [38].
  • All of Doktor Plumbi’s edits are between 6:00 and 23:00 North American Eastern Daylight Time, indicating most likely a location on the US eastern seaboard, the same as Sulmues [39].

Sulmues was an experienced user, and he had moreover participated in several SPIs (mostly disruptively), so I would expect him to be familiar with covering his tracks IP-wise. He made sure to wait long enough so that his old CU logs would be stale. He hasn’t tried particularly hard to conceal his tracks behavior-wise, which leads me to suspect that he is pretty confident CU won’t catch him (the overwhelming majority of Sulmues' edits are between early morning North American EST and midnight North American EST, although given the insanely large number of edits, there are some edits at any time of day).

To sum up, it is fairly clear that Doktor Plumbi is a) not a new user, b) a returning Albanian user, and the behavioral evidence points pretty strongly that he is none other than Sulmues/Sulmuesi. Athenean ( talk) 05:33, 28 May 2011 (UTC) reply

Confirmed the following are the same (there are no available technical connections to Sulmuesi ( talk · contribs), as it is  Stale):

Suspected sockpuppets

  • On his first day editing as "Futbollisti", he contacts User:Oltianruci [40] to opine that a certain Albanian soccer player deserves his own article on wikipedia. It is strange that a brand new user would know Oltianruci and what his interests are. Sulmues on the other hand knew Oltianruci well and posted on his talkpage frequently regarding Albanian soccer topics.
  • Another of his very first edits is creating a template with sports venues in Kosovo [41]. Pretty advanced for a new user. He also creates a talkpage for the template, complete with project tags, importance ratings, and categories [42].
  • Even though he is a "new" user, Futbollisti participates at a FAC, with some very strongly held opinions about what an FA should look like [52] [53] [54].
  • As the "Doktor Plumbi" sock, among his first edits was participation in several AfDs [55] [56]. Same with Futbollisti [57]. Note how he makes comments that show knowledge of wikipedia policy [58] [59] [60] (knows what a DYK is).
  • He also delsorts articles [61] [62], very atypical for a new user.
  • An abiding interest in Albanian soccer topics: S: [63] , F: [64].
  • Sulmues/Sulmuesi also had a great interest in medieval Serbian ecclesiastical topics (e.g. Saint Angelina of Serbia [65], Jovan Vladimir [66] (Sulmues: 4 edits. Futbollisti: 18 edits). Also here [67], the same highly obscure article about St. Jovan Vladimir's Church that Sulmuesi had edited in the past.
  • Tries to move an article about a town in Kosovo which is currently under its Serbian name (Podujevo) to its Albanian name (Besiana), and showing a great deal of knowledge about Wikipedia naming policies [68] [69].
  • Sulmues/Sulmuesi also had a deep and abiding interesting in Gjirokaster [72] (top contributor), particularly the Notable People section [73]. Futbollisti, a brand new user, already has 4 edits to the article, 3 of which in the Notable People section [74].
  • The editing pattern is very similar: Lots of small consecutive edits over the span of an entire day. S: [75] [76] [77]. Same with Futbollisti [78].
  • All of Futbollisti's edits appear to take place between 8:00 and 1:30 North American Eastern Daylight Time, indicating most likely a location on the US eastern seaboard, the same as Sulmues [79].

The evidence is really striking, project tagging, several minor edits per hour, dyk&fa obsession even from the first and second day of contribution. A typical behavior is placing wpsq in order to claim ethnic territory using similar summaries (the X place isn't in Albania but it greatly affected Albanian history and culture) F: [84] S: [85] Alexikoua ( talk) 23:59, 19 October 2011 (UTC) reply

Caught me again Greeks? Good boys. All of the socks below are mine with the exception of Astnmxdo, Morrisjeffrey, and Boreali. You may not want to block those, becuase I'm not related to them. You can block Futbollisti, unless, of course, you think that I might be useful to edit wikipedia under this account now. My apologies for creating all this disruption. Have fun editing wikipedia like I have. It's an exceptional place! Futbollisti ( talk) 14:49, 20 October 2011 (UTC) reply
The ball is in your court now Futbollisti. You were just caught in a foul and you suffered a penalty kick. Hopefully next time you can clean up your game and get to play in the tournament as yourself, and not bring the football team of 14 admitted sockpuppets with you along for the game. I guess 11 of the socks make up the main team and the remaining three must be the reserves, just in case anyone from the main team gets injured. Dr.K.  λogos πraxis 16:33, 20 October 2011 (UTC) reply
Make that a red card. There is no way you will ever be allowed to edit under any other accounts Sulmues, because that would deceive the community about your history of disruption [86], a clear violation of WP:SCRUTINY (and which we know is your goal [ [87]], no pun intended). You have also left behind a mountain of evidence and several users pissed off at you, so socking will never work, you are just wasting your time. So I suggest finding another hobby, editing wikipedia is just not going to work. Athenean ( talk) 16:40, 20 October 2011 (UTC) reply

Sulmuesi, who is the same editor as Sulmues ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is a prolific Albanian editor, and sockpuppeteer (mostly involved into sockfarming). I believe the accounts above are his latest socks. After receiving his indef ban Sulmuesi was into sockfarming, especially during ongoing edit-wars:

  • Obsession about supposed anti-Albanian conspiracy theories in wikipedia, SU: [ [88]], [ [89]], [ [90]], the very same obsession is shared by his sock OP: [ [91]], [ [92]
  • In Aoos, Sulmues was in favor of the Albanian name "Vjose" [ [93]], his sock shares the same view, OP: [ [94]
  • Sulmues' sockfarming activity (as previous SPIs) aimed at creating disruption in the middle of ongoing edit-wars: 52714's very first edit was performed in this fashion [ [95]] (supporting Rolandi+, whose topic ban is currently discussed at wp:ani)
  • Sulmues declared that he speaks Italian[ [96]], the same did his sock, 52714: [ [97]]. Both accounts offer the same excuse when being asked about the knowledge of foreign languages (...Albanians usually do that): [ [98]], [ [99]
  • Both OppositeGradient, 52714Number, support Rolandi+ OP.: [ [100]], [ [101]], 52714: [ [102]] (supporting Rolandi's revert war). However, they always avoid to edit in the same articles&discussions.
  • Sulmues declared that he is always watching wikipedia and is ready to strike at any time ([ [103]] I can come back at any time and edit wikipedia). I firmly believe that apart from the above 2 socks (created during July), he edits with additional accounts in his typical sockfarming fashion. Alexikoua ( talk) 07:10, 23 July 2015 (UTC) reply

Suspected sockpuppets

MorenaReka appeared with very obvious prior WP experience as seen from his very beginning (e.g. full understanding how "cite" template works: editting [ [104]] and creating [ [105]] [ [106]] inline citations, creating a technically perfect article [ [107]], creating redirection [ [108]] and good understanding of what's not wp:RS [ [109]]) all this in 48h from account creation). This activity immediatelly raised suspicion: [ [110]] but he generallly implied he had previously edited on the Albanian Wikipedia many years ago, [ [111]] avoiding to provide any decent explanation [ [112]]. The above indicate that MorenaReka is almost certainly a returning user, although it is not clear exactly who at this point.

  • Sulmues declared that he is always watching wikipedia and is ready to strike at any time [ [113]] (I can come back at any time... ) & indeed shows up in the middle of edit wars, like 52714Number (one of the latest confirmed socks) [ [114]] & so does MorenaReka [ [115]
  • Sulmues was eager to promote as many Albanian-related articles to "GA" status [ [116]], [ [117]]. No wonder MorenaReka shares the same habbit: within a few days of account creation starts reviewing Good Articles nominations [ [118]] and sends articles for GA nomination [ [119]].
  • Sulmues was also worried when non-Albanians participated in "GA" nominations he was interested: [ [120]], the same obsession is shared by MorenaReka and he asks his non-nationals to abstain from a GA-nomination he is involved [ [121]].
  • Sulmues was eager to send for "dyk" as many Albanian related articles as possible [ [122]][ [123]][ [124]], former sock Futbolisti too: [ [125]], so does MorenaReka: [ [126]
  • Sulmues was always eager to exchange e-mails with his co-nationals, obviously for off-wiki communication: [ [127]],[ [128]] & MorenaReka shares the same addiction asking for e-mails from the very first day of account creation: [ [129]].
  • Editting the same variety of articles, some few examples: Ibrahim Biçakçiu: SU: [ [130]], MO : [ [131]], Tefta Tshko-Koco:SU: [ [132]], MO: [ [133]], Anvi Mula: SU:[ [134]], MO:[ [135]]. Corape: SU: [ [136]] MO [ [137]]. Serbia v Albania (UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying): sock Cimcimcakungashijaku [ [138]], sock Ndihmesmjeku [ [139]] MorenaReka: [ [140]].
  • Sulmues declared that he speaks Italian [ [141]][ [142]] & one of his latest sock too (52714Number) [ [143]], and MorenaReka understands Italian articles as well [ [144]]. Alexikoua ( talk) 22:07, 29 December 2015 (UTC) reply

Although the sockmaster (Sulmues) is stale, a CU will simply confirm that he is behind his last confirmed (per last spi) list of sockpuppets, and his latest drive-by acounts that were following me in October 2015 in his typical fashion (Gjidede & SethGoldberg). Alexikoua ( talk) 22:07, 29 December 2015 (UTC) reply

(additional evidence after checking response below): MorenaReka admits that his is the same person behind Gjidede, nevertheless he avoids to explain how he showed up in the middle of an edit-war where discussion was quite intense. In fact this is the typical way a "Sulmues-sock" shows up, in agreement with Sulmues' declaration that he is "following us and waiting for the right moment to return[ [145]]. Not to mention that in Vuno article, a small village, where MorenaReka claims that he hails from, Sulmues remains the main contributor [ [146]].

From "User:Sportishqiptar"'s contribution in Albanian wiki it's quite obvious (even his very username leaves no doubt)that he had an interest in (male) soccer. In fact male soccer was Sulmues main interest too, & one of his confirmed socks was named "Futbollisti". No wonder MorenaReka claims tha he is familiar with the subject [ [147]]. Alexikoua ( talk) 16:20, 1 January 2016 (UTC) reply

Additional evidence

  • Sulmues had this peculiar obsession with defending the "Albanian-ness" of ethnic Greek soccer players from Albania (e.g. [148]. MoReka shares the obsession [149].
  • Sulmues obsessively followed me around [150] (long after he was indeffed). Here Sulmues followed me to this obscure RfC/U even though it had absolutely nothing to do with Albania or Albanians [151]. MorenaReka does the same thing [152] (Within a few hours of me creating the article, he follows me there). Following me around and trolling in this manner is odd for a new user, but it is classic Sulmues.
  • "Bye till the next sock". Clearly Sulmues never had any intention to stop socking.
  • Claiming harrasment and playing the victim. In this SPI, MoReka is pretending to "feel harrassed" and in general is playing the victim [153]. This is classic Sulmues [154]. Always hurt, always crying, always a victim. This, from someone with quite possibly over 100 socks over five years. Athenean ( talk) 06:59, 6 January 2016 (UTC) reply

  1. I have edited in the English wiki only under the nick "Gjidede", but that is my last name and I would not like to be associated to it, so I opened a new account, as MorenaReka. Athenean already associated me there to Sulmues ( [155]), so I am not new to this accusation.
  2. I am unrelated to the other accounts above.
  3. I am being continuously compared to Sulmues, who has made perhaps 50 thousand edits in Albanian topics (which are a few hundreds), and every time I touch an article, Athenean and Alexikoua write here saying that I must be Sulmues, because Sulmues had written in that certain article, but I don't know Sulmues, I don't know his interests, and I don't know if now, after all these accusations, I have to check an article before I edit it, because perhaps Sulmues edited it before he was blocked from Wikipedia in 2010. I feel harassed and overstressed by this continuous hounding process that these people are putting me through. Please advise as to what I should do. All of this "evidence" to me looks like there is a lot of hate towards Sulmues for the immense damage that he must have done to Wikipedia.
  4. Below I will respond to the other comparisons:
Extended defense
*MorenaReka appeared with very obvious prior WP experience as seen from his very beginning (e.g. full understanding how "cite" template works: editting 1 and creating 2 3 inline citations, creating a technically perfect article 4, creating redirection 5 and good understanding of what's not wp:RS 6) all this in 48h from account creation).

I already told other users that I was an experienced user from the Albanian wikipedia, where I have created policies and brought to GA articles (as well as reviewed other articles). I was transparent, and have no problem admitting that I am an experienced user in wiki. I have explained to another user, Antidiskriminator ( [156]) that I had done few edits in the English Wikipedia (they were related to the ones with "Gjidede").

  • The above indicate that MorenaReka is almost certainly a returning user, although it is not clear exactly who at this point.

Alexikoua, are you a user in the Albanian Wikipedia? I don't see many edits of yours there ( [157]). For the record, my user name in the Albanian wiki was Sportishqiptar: with that nick, I have, among other, developed the WP:FIVEPILLARS in the Albanian wiki (See [158]), as well as developed other wiki policies, such as WP:NEUTRALITY in Albanian.

  • Sulmues declared that he is always watching wikipedia and is ready to strike at any time 10 (I can come back at any time... ) & indeed shows up in the middle of edit wars, like 52714Number (one of the latest confirmed socks) 11 & so does MorenaReka 12

I don't know who Sulmues is and why he declared in the past what he declared to Alexikoua, and what that individual was watching and how he would "strike". I want to clarify in edit#12 that Alexikoua provided above, that I am explaining to Athenean that he is misinterpreting something said from Resnjari. I follow around Resnjari from day one, because he is working very hard for the Upper Reka article, where I have an ethnic interest. I believe that was done in the best interest of wiki, and assisted put a move request, as opposed to edit warring. For the record, Alexikoua says that was an edit-war. He must be referring to him and Athenean move-warring towards Resnjari. I did not participate in their activities but opened a move request, so that the move-warring from Athenean and Alexikoua ( [159] and [160], and [161]) would stop.

  • Sulmues was eager to promote as many Albanian-related articles to "GA" status 13, 14. No wonder MorenaReka shares the same habbit: within a few days of account creation starts reviewing Good Articles nominations 15 and sends articles for GA nomination 16.

I am Albanian by ethnicity. Wouldn't any wikipedian do the same (promote articles to GA)? As far as experience with that, I already explained above, that I had plenty of practice in the past in the Albanian wiki.

  • Sulmues was also worried when non-Albanians participated in "GA" nominations he was interested: 17, the same obsession is shared by MorenaReka and he asks his non-nationals to abstain from a GA-nomination he is involved 18.

If you read that edit of mine carefully (18), you will realize that it is exactly the opposite of what Alexikoua is saying: I want both co-reviewers to review, but separately from me as required by policies. I alswo regretted that Antidiskriminator would not want to do the review.

  • Sulmues was eager to send for "dyk" as many Albanian related articles as possible 19 20 21, former sock Futbolisti too: 22, so does MorenaReka: 23

I have nominated to DYK only one article ( Xhamadani), something I expanded 5 times, and on which am working for GA status as well. This is not any evidence of me being like Sulmues. I don't know how many DYK articles Sulmues has done, but it seems, following Alexikoua's logic that if you are an Albanian, you need to not send anything to GA, because you may be like Sulmues. I can't understand why Alexikoua thinks that only Sulmues can send stuff to DYK: Everyone can!

  • Sulmues was always eager to exchange e-mails with his co-nationals, obviously for off-wiki communication: 24, 25 & MorenaReka shares the same addiction asking for e-mails from the very first day of account creation: 26.

I know that wiki has an email feature. It appears on every wiki user page. How come that is an "addiction" by the way? And in what way can Alexikoua assert that I'm addicted?

  • Editting the same variety of articles, some few examples: Ibrahim Biçakçiu: SU: 27, MO : 28, Tefta Tshko-Koco:SU: 29, MO: 30, Anvi Mula: SU: 31, MO: 32. Corape: SU: 33 MO 34. Serbia v Albania (UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying): sock Cimcimcakungashijaku 35, sock Ndihmesmjeku 36 MorenaReka: 37.

Editing on a prime minister, some of the most prominent artists of Albania, and the most spoken soccer match Albania has ever played is very normal for any Albanian: On the other hand Sulmues must have touched every single article on earth, since he had thousands of contributions. The article Çorape is in my watchlist as are all the folk costumes of Albania. I have already nominated Xhamadani, the traditional Albanian vest, but I have also started Xhubleta, the traditional Albanian gown. As a woman, I am interested in fashion, hope there is nothing wrong with that. I have edited Template:Folk_costume, where I have added the Albanian and Russian costumes. I also have contributions in Opinga, the Albanian folk shoe and Qeleshe, the folk hat. I don't see how Sulmues was particularly interested in folk clothing, which I am, as I see minor contributions from him in this area.

  • Sulmues declared that he speaks Italian 38 39 & one of his latest sock too (52714Number) 40, and MorenaReka understands Italian articles as well 41.Alexikoua (talk) 22:07, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

Well, good for Sulmues that he understood Italian. I don't, however I used google translate for the edit "greco di origine Albanese" is translated in English google translate as Greek of Albanian origin, and I even wished Marry Christmas to Alexikoua in his language ( [162]), again by using google translate. I hope that Alexikoua is a Christian, because it seems like he opened this SPI investigation as a reaction to that wish. Since he is a Greek I presumed so, but if Alexikoua is not a Christian, and/or he is not and has denied Christ, I apologize to him as well. I was still awaiting for a response from Alexikoua for my request at the Kone footballer [163], so I was following his contributions to see if he would answer me, but he ignored me at that article, and I saw that he, instead opened this SPI investigation.

It seems like Sulmues was a really mean individual, and must have done a lot of harm to Wikipedia. I hope to not be associated with him.

  • additional evidence after checking response below): MorenaReka admits that his is the same person behind Gjidede, nevertheless he avoids to explain how he showed up in the middle of an edit-war where discussion was quite intense. In fact this is the typical way a "Sulmues-sock" shows up, in agreement with Sulmues' declaration that he is "following us and waiting for the right moment to return 42. Not to mention that in Vuno article, a small village, where MorenaReka claims that he hails from, Sulmues is the main contributor 43.

What is the "additional evidence"? I already said above that Gjidede is my last name, and I used that account for the first time in the English wiki. To satisfy Alexikoua's curiosity, Gjidede is a typical last name in Vuno, where Spiro Koleka hails from. I hail from Vuno as well. My editing there was attracted by how an incorrect source is being used improperly by you to claim that Spiro Koleka was a Greek, and you were not accepting to compare that to other sources. Burridheut, a relative of Spiro, ended up being blocked because of your continuous activity and Alexikoua's stubbornness in failing to understand the flaws of the Pettifer source, which I pointed out.

Answering to the last sentence (recently added by Alexikoua): Sulmues contributed for 20% of the article (by mere number of edits), and Alexikoua for 17%. According to Alexikoua's logic, if he had contributed a little more, say 21%, I should be ALEXIKOUA's sock!

  • From "User:Sportishqiptar"'s contribution in Albanian wiki it's quite obvious (even his very username leaves no doubt)that he had an interest in (male) soccer. In fact male soccer was Sulmues main interest too, & one of his confirmed socks was named "Futbollisti". No wonder MorenaReka claims tha he is familiar with the subject 43

This proves nothing, as football is the main pastime of all Albanians. The Serbia v Albania (UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying) game is an extremely known subject for all Albanians and soccer lovers in Europe, and the key match that brought Albania to Euro 2016. It seems like football is your pastime as well, since you have so many edits at Panagiotis Kone, but you are not being compared to other Greek users, which might be your own socks. • peculiar obsession with defending the "Albanian-ness" of ethnic Greek soccer players from Albania (e.g. [54]. MoReka shares the obsession [55].

Not sure why this would be an obsession for Athenean, but I was twice invited in a Dispute resolution board to give my opinion on the player, who according to dozens of sources has an Albanian ethnic background. Nothing wrong with making fixes in Wikipedia.

  • Sulmues obsessively followed me around [47] (long after he was indeffed). MorenaReka does the same thing [48] (Within a few hours of me creating the article, he follows me there). Following me around and trolling in this manner would be odd for a new user, but it is classic Sulmues.
Every time I do something it seems like you are following me Athenean! And I was actually congratulating you for starting a new article that Wikipedia really needed! Not sure why you would be so upset with that edit if you seem to follow yourself all of my contributions. I feel harassed now. And, so that you know, trolling is surfing the internet with the intention of picking fights and annoying other people online. That is trolling. And I feel like Athenean and Alexikoua are doing exactly that with me in this very page, where they flip through every single contribution of mine! According to Athenean, he can question my sexuality, say I am a liar, call me an idiot (always provided that Sulmues=MorenaReka, which is not, but according to him, it is), and that's OK, but I, on the other hand, I'm a troll. And I have to waste my time to respond to these two people who accuse me of everything. Awesome! Thanks for making my time in Wikipedia an incredible experience Alexikoua and Athenean. Or should I thank Sulmues?

Sulmues is a prolific sockpuppeteer, with dozens of confirmed socks over 4-5 years now, as well as numerous throwaway accounts. He never really quit socking, and was still active as of July 2015. To someone familiar with Sulmues, this SPI quacks pretty loudly. In particular, the interest with Albanian football (soccer) and ethnic costumes, and especially the obsession with GAs and DYKs. MoReka also participates in discussions in obscure articles from day 1, which sulmues also did. For example, the Gjidede throwaway account, created solely for coming to the help of fellow Albanian editors in a discussion in an obscure article, is a classic Sulmues throwaway account. Furthermore, this "descendant of an African slave", as he claims on his userpage, exclusively edits articles about the relatively small and obscure nation of Albania, which is rather strange for a "descendant of an African slaves", since there are not too many of those in Albania. And now he claims to be from the small and obscure village of Vuno. Positively zero "descendants of African slaves" there, I am fairly certain. This sock also claims to be a woman, but this [164] ("being hysterical is a disease, and affect especially women, and as a woman, I am highly offended") makes me certain that this user is definitely NOT a woman, but rather a (male) idiot pretending to be one. Such idiocy is vintage Sulmues. Sulmues enjoyed assuming different identities and trying to take the wikipedia community for a ride, and this BS about being a "descendant of African slaves" and being a woman is very typical sulmues. @User:Athenean. I don't know who Sulmuesi is, but since it is clear that he is Albanian, I would another time point out that you should watch your language and stop insulting Albanians. Just like the time you called Kristaq Prifti (head of the Institute of History) referring to him as garbage [165], now you calling Sulmuesi or whatever his name is an idiot [166]. This goes far beyond breaching WP:DECORUM. The worst attitude possible in an environment which should promote mutual respect.
-- Mondiad ( talk) 17:50, 2 January 2016 (UTC) reply

A simple search on Athenean's talk page [167] shows how he and User:Alexikoua are constantly engaged in tagging any new (Albanian) editors to Sulmuesi, this way early blocking or discouraging them. They even considered mine was a puppet account [168], and Sulmuesi is constantly a topic of discussion for them. Not occasionally the nominator(s) have mentioned more than once "following us and waiting for the right moment to return", "he is always watching wikipedia and is ready to strike at any time", "Sulmues obsessively followed me around", etc., showing a mutual obsession.
Regarding what the nominator has presented as evidence, it is all circumstantial. I have personally edited articles as Ibrahim Bicakciu, Tefta Tashko-Koco,...etc that are listed by Alexikoua. Does that tell anything?
Also, regarding the Italian language "knowledge", the diff [169] that Alexikoua presented points to the phrase "greco di origine Albanese". It doesn't take much to understand that this means "Greek of Albanian origin". You don't need to really know Italian to find out what it means. Is this evidence that points to Sulmuesi, because Sulmuesi knew Italian? On the other side, what's the percentage of Albanians that speak or understand some Italian? You'd be surprised.
Another comment regarding this statement Not to mention that in Vuno article, a small village, where MorenaReka claims that he hails from, Sulmues is the main contributor. I would kindly request from administrators to check the article Vuno, and count how many edits Alexikoua and Athenean have. Also the timeline shows that they have been fighting recently to push their changes, while Sulmuesi (as disruptive as he might be) is not seen since long ago. As a matter of fact, he was not the creator of the article, and not the main contributor. Just because Gjidede is surname native to Vuno does not not link those who bear that last name to Sulmuesi.
As far as the Serbia v Albania (UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying) soccer match is concerned, I don't think there is any Albanian or Serbian who is not informed about what happened that night, or hasn't something to say, regardless of gender. The gender segregation comments are irrelevant: "...leaves no doubt that he had an interest in (male) soccer."... Male soccer is supposed to be watched from both genders, same for women's soccer, and that match was more a political show (we saw everything but soccer that night). She is being targeted 1. because of some minor edits she made in a (male) soccer event, and 2. because a disruptive editor named Sulmuesi "surprisingly" likes soccer.

Comment by User:Resnjari
:::Since my name has been mentioned in this discussion, i'll the add some words to the matter. As editor Mondiad has shown, the additional commentary here by editor Athenean is not the first time that a breach of wp:decorum has occurred. Recently in the talkpage of the article Turco-Albanians, after i expressed some concerns and asked for further elaboration of content due to the sensitive and contentious subject matter of the topic, he unilaterally deleted my comments on the talkpage (with no reason) [170]. After i reverted that change which placed the commentary back and asked him not to censor me, Athenean then referred to my commentary as "rants" [171]. Now that said, in the above comments here apart from referring to the editor MorenaReka as an "idiot" which contravenes wp:civil etiquette and is wp:personal attacks, the issue of a person's gender and socio-cultural background is of no bearing to what makes a person. Wikipedia has very clear guidelines and states in its Non-discrimination policy wp:NDP with legal considerations that "The Wikimedia Foundation prohibits discrimination against current or prospective users and employees on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristics." Athenean should not resort to such commentary. MorenaReka has tags on her page that she has felt celebrate her values, mores and complex socio-cultural background. Albanians are of sizable numbers in the diaspora and some have intermarried with individuals from other socio-cultural and linguistic backgrounds. That should NOT form the basis of allegations and so on against other editors on Wikipedia as it contravenes wp:harass. I ask editors to keep this in mind and with such problematic comments already said in this discussion (to say the least), i am very concerned that the neutrality of this matter has already been compromised. The case made by Alexikoua is strong and the supporting evidence provided by Athenean looks convincing. The evidence of WP:QUACKING is undeniably here. No walls of text can obscure that fact. Based on the evidence a CU check will determine the existence of socks nevermind how big are the walls of text provided by the defence. So, please keep your statements to a reasonable length. 1) Ktrimi's first edit was to respond to another Albanian user's request for help [172]. He then tells the user to email him [173]. On the second day he edits, he adds a ref using the cite book template [174]. Clearly this is the behavior of someone comfortable with wikipedia, and not a new user.

2) Ktrimi will claim that this is because he has been editing sq.wiki (Albanian) for a long time. However a look at his sq.wiki contribs shows only 10 edits in 2012, and only 50 till june 2016 [175], which is the same time the ktrimi account becomes active on en.wiki.

3) Sulmues' last confirmed sock, MorenaReka ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) claimed exactly the same defense at the last SPI for his familiarity with wikipedia. [176]. Yet the MorenaReka sock only had one edit in sq.wiki [177].

4) One of the MorenaReka sock's first moves was to tell other users to email him [178], probably so as to set up a tag team. Same with Ktrimi [179].

5) Sulmues and socks had this habit of serially welcoming new users using the "welcome template" [180] [181]. Same with Ktrimi [182].

6) Another major obsession of Sulmues and socks is moving pages to the "correct" Albanian spelling [183] [184] [185], often several pages in a row. Same with Ktrimi [186] [187] [188].

7) Sulmues and socks had an obsession with categories, adding, subtracting and renaming serially using HotCat [189] [190] (scroll to the bottom). Same with Ktrimi [191].

8) Editing similar articles, particularly those with an Albanian "national" focus, e.g. Albanian National Awakening [192].

9) The temporal pattern of Ktrimi [193] and Sulmues and socks [194] [195] [196] is virtually identical, indicating a location most likely on the US East Coast, and editing heavily during business hours. I know for a fact Sulmues is based out of the DC area.

10) Ktrimi appears to be following me around, which would be odd for a new user, but typical of Sulmues, who had many run-ins with me in the past. For example at Orlov revolt, when I got involved in a dispute with another Albanian user, Resnjari, Ktrimi shows up to revert me very quickly, even though he has never edited the article before.

11) Aggressive behavior, for which Sulmues was eventually banned, and which Ktrimi shows every sign of continuin (already blocked once). His page is a filled with warnings and fights with other users [197] [198].

I expect Sulmues' CU to be stale (the last sock, MorenaReka, was blocked a while back), but a CU would be useful to detect sleepers (a typical Sulmues move) and confirm location. Given the WP:LTA by Sulmues, it is also possible that a CUser might have stored the old CU logs. Alexikoua ( talk) 22:15, 25 February 2017 (UTC) reply

I want a CU too. I don't live in the US. I am focused on Kosovo. Sulmues was focused on Albania, culture in Albania and football (Sulmues means "centre forward/attacker" in Albanian). I have been participating on various Wikimedia projects, meeting, discussions since 2012. I am ready to exchange emails with every Albanian editor. I have asked two Albanian editors to email me if they want because they asked for help. I know many Albanian Wikipedians and I have met many of them. We discuss, raise problems and find solutions. By the way could Alexikoua cite other examples I "have followed them around"? I made a contribution to the Orlov article as it is on my watchlist after I came across it through the link on the Islamization of Albania article.
After going through some Wikipedia investigations of Sulmues to familiarize myself with that case, it is clear that there were disagreements between yourself and that editor and i hope that this investigation was not based on wp:witchhunt. One comment which you made does stand out. How do you know “for a fact Sulmues is based out of the DC area”? Looking at Wikipedia’s policies on wp:privacy, wp:outing and wp:harass how would you know that information since you are not someone with checkuser access? I wanted CU because I don't live in the US. I took part in [199]. You can verify I am present on the list of participants. Sulmues was blocked on 14 May 2013. Ktrimi991 ( talk) 18:55, 26 February 2017 (UTC) reply
I don't think there is any connection between the two users/accounts. Ktrimi has participated in meetings and conferences between Albanian Wikimedians frequently and was registered in Albanian Wikipedia during a edit-a-thon in Macedonia (2012), where I participated myself. I am a long time on Wikipedia, and I know that many Albanians have been blocked in enwiki in the past because of this pattern of editing, and it is wrong. Most of them have edited and others will continue to do so because they believe they are poorly written articles, or with biased references, or are vandalized.-- Liridon ( talk) 22:55, 28 February 2017 (UTC) reply

The technical evidence is too old to make a solid connection to the alleged sockmaster. That will have to be based upon behavior.

Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims.

Suspected sockpuppets

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments

Everyone is  Stale, and we're not doing a fishing expedition for "sleepers" based on a single account. CU declined.-- Bbb23 ( talk) 15:40, 26 February 2017 (UTC) reply

I can confirm that Ktrimi991 does not edit from the United States.-- Bbb23 ( talk) 19:45, 26 February 2017 (UTC) reply
