The account Mors Martell was indefinitely blocked by the arbitration committee. [1] This IP has appeared, editing from the VPS altushost.com, and stating that they are the site-banned editor. [2] (I assume a VPS provides one way of anonymising edits from anywhere.) Whoever this is (and the identification seems fairly clear) they have monitoring closely what happens on wikipedia and are quite eager to troll disruptively to create confusion. But a site-banned user is a site-banned user. Mathsci ( talk) 21:04, 14 April 2013 (UTC) Mathsci ( talk) 21:04, 14 April 2013 (UTC) reply

  • I've added a third IP that has posted claiming to be Mors Martell. It is registered to solidhost.com, another VPS, anonymising edits. Mathsci ( talk)

The original account was blocked by the arbitration committee and is suspected to be a sockpuppet of Ferahgo the Assassin or equivalently Captain Occam. They usually become active when Captain Occam is being disruptive on wikipediocracy, which is the case at the moment. The IP made a single edit to User:Mors Martell which was reverted by the checkuser Ponyo for block evasion. They have previously used an IP in the same range, 213.179.213.11 ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) mentioned in the previous sockpuppet report. Note that the range has been blocked purely because it is an anonymising VPS, in accordance with blocking open proxies and networks which can be used like them. I make no comment on a suspected master. WilliamH ( talk) 17:45, 4 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Similar problem to the report on 4 July. Ponyo has again reverted the single edit which evaded the block. A slightly wider part of the IP range has been used this time. Mathsci ( talk) 06:08, 5 July 2013 (UTC) reply

Sorry, I don't quite know how that happened. I probably used an old tab. Thanks anyway. Mathsci ( talk) 10:34, 5 July 2013 (UTC) reply

General comment about the account Mors Martell, Mors Martell was blocked by the arbitration committee because the story they told about their editing was inconsistent. After the previous SPI report an invalid unblock request was made by Mors Martell, following a similar request to the arbcom mailing list. The text and timing of the request only confirm the identification as a sockpuppet account of Ferahgo the Assassin. Simultaneously Captain Occam/Ferahgo the Assassin have been involved in a disruptive off-wiki campaign on wikipediocracy. These edits happened out of the blue after a long period of inactivity, so the timing makes this look like another Captain Occam stunt. Although it probably only concerns arbitrators, the unblock request, which was declined by Anthony Bradbury, again told stories that have no credibility. Mors Martell claimed that the previous account using their real name has been leaked (there is no evidence for that) and that they now feel harassed. As far as I know I am the only person who has mentioned Mors Martell on wikipedia recently (as a probable Ferahgo sock). I an not aware of the previous account. The claim that is has been leaked seems to be another inconsistency or "lie" by whoever is operating the account. That applies equally well to the claim of harassment in the unblock request. False claims of harassment characterized Captain Occam and Ferahgo the Assassin's submissions to the arbitration committee in March 2012. So the continued attempts to change the sockpuppet tag, the false claims in Occam-Ferahgo vocabulary in the unblock request and the timing confirm that the main account is operated by Occam and Ferahgo. This current disruption and block evasion give the impression of a stunt. The ipsock used here is part of that. Akuri, another account blocked by arbitrators and almost certainly operated by the same site-banned users, made similarly inconsistent unblock requests which were declined by arbitrators on the grounds of WP:DUCK. The same applies here. Mathsci ( talk) 06:34, 5 July 2013 (UTC) reply
