The user Category5AtlanticHurricaneBoy101 had recently been blocked indefinitely from nonstop vandalism and other nonsense edits. He also made threats to create "up to 120 sockpuppets" and vandalize Category 5 hurricane articles, as seen here. As he threatened on his sockpuppets' talk pages, he has largely targeted the Hurricane Irma article, though he has vandalized a few other hurricane articles in the meantime as well. The listed accountes are all megaducks. All of their edits are exactly in line with HurricaneBoy101's exhibited vandalism, and they even admit to be the same person on their talk pages. As for the IPs, their few edits are made almost right before or after one of the sock account vandalizes, and their vandalism is nearly identical, not to mention the direct overlap in the articles vandalized. Also, just to be safe, admins should check the revision history for Hurricane Irma for more socks. I'm seeing a lot of fishy activity there recently. I also strongly recommend patrolling the other articles/categories that he threatened to vandalize. Ducks. Usernames fit the patterns known to be used by this sockmaster, and the editing/pages targeted are nearly identical. Also, this user has threatened to vandalize hurricane articles in the past (as User:Category5AtlanticHurricaneBoy101), and the 1st account falls in line with another sock, User:AmyWeatherspoon63. The username of the 2nd account is a direct reference to the first article that the first sock vandalized ( Hurricane Ophelia (2005)). You can also see these cases [44] [45] for more details. In either case, both accounts are clearly vandalism-only accounts and should be indef blocked immediately. Please run a CU check and also check for sleepers. If they are socks, please revoke talk page access and block the underlying IP range for at least 1-3 months, as this vandal has caused significant disruption recently. @ Berean Hunter:, given the CU results below, It appears that the accounts listed below are all sockpuppets of another LTA master, Incorrigible Troll. They have all been CU-linked to a couple of "UCLA" accounts, which are known socks of Incorrigible Troll (see his SPI archives). Also look at the "Global Account Details" of each sock; they are all Globally Locked as accounts of Incorrigible Troll, as you can see here [46] [47] [48]. It appears to be a large-scale impersonation and vandalism campaign. As such, I think that you should move this case to the SPI for Incorrigible Troll after it has closed, in order to prevent other users from being confused later on. I'd like to mention that Incorrigible Troll also seems to be from a state in the eastern US (as evidenced in one of the blocked ranges he used in a recent case I filed at his SPI), but there were 2 suspect IPs with similar behavioral edits that located to the other side of the globe. That being said, those 2 IPs haven't been CU-linked, so it's possible that they were a different vandal or another sockmaster editing while logged out. AzUrArInG and Incorrigible Troll's IPs seem to geolocate to different US states, but I could be wrong and Incorrigible Troll could have access to more IPs (such as VPNs or Proxies). I would also like to say that a number of IPs and sock accounts you listed above aren't Incorrigible Troll socks (probably socks of AzUrArInG), but the vast majority of the accounts named are Incorrigible Troll accounts, as indicated in the CU results below. It's pretty obvious that he is still able to evade his block (even after one of his ranges was blocked for 1 month), and without a way to block his IPs and account creation, his disruption is only going to get worse. Also found a sock IP. It geolocates to roughly the same place where other IPs used by this sockmaster are known to geolocate to. By the way, you might want to disable talk page access on that IP, since the talk page is only being used for vandalism/disruptive editing following the block. Admins should also see this list generated by the sock IP. Admins should also watch out for the new potential sock accounts that Incorrigible Troll said he would create in this post on his IP's talk page. The user Category5AtlanticHurricaneBoy101 had recently been blocked indefinitely from nonstop vandalism and other nonsense edits. He also made threats to create "up to 120 sockpuppets" and vandalize Category 5 hurricane articles, as seen here. As he threatened on his sockpuppets' talk pages, he has largely targeted the Hurricane Irma article, though he has vandalized a few other hurricane articles in the meantime as well. The listed accountes are all megaducks. All of their edits are exactly in line with HurricaneBoy101's exhibited vandalism, and they even admit to be the same person on their talk pages. As for the IPs, their few edits are made almost right before or after one of the sock account vandalizes, and their vandalism is nearly identical, not to mention the direct overlap in the articles vandalized. Requesting a Checkuser to help out with this mess. The vandal is still active right now, as he just created another sock account within the last 30 minutes, which only recently got blocked. Please run an IP check and a Sleeper Check, as this guy is probably in the process of creating new sockpuppets right now. Also requesting a rangeblock if more than 1 IPs are involved, since this vandal's behavior has made it quite clear that they have no intention of stopping. Also, just to be safe, admins should check the revision history for Hurricane Irma for more socks. I'm seeing a lot of fishy activity there recently. I also strongly recommend patrolling the other articles/categories that he threatened to vandalize. BTW, I strongly recommend watching User:HurricaneIrma2017 (not yet created yet, as of now), since he threatened to create a sock with this name here. Ducks. Usernames fit the patterns known to be used by this sockmaster, and the editing/pages targeted are nearly identical. Also, this user has threatened to vandalize hurricane articles in the past (as User:Category5AtlanticHurricaneBoy101), and the 1st account falls in line with another sock, User:AmyWeatherspoon63. The username of the 2nd account is a direct reference to the first article that the first sock vandalized ( Hurricane Ophelia (2005)). You can also see these cases [44] [45] for more details. In either case, both accounts are clearly vandalism-only accounts and should be indef blocked immediately. Please run a CU check and also check for sleepers. If they are socks, please revoke talk page access and block the underlying IP range for at least 1-3 months, as this vandal has caused significant disruption recently. @ Berean Hunter:, given the CU results below, It appears that the accounts listed below are all sockpuppets of another LTA master, Incorrigible Troll. They have all been CU-linked to a couple of "UCLA" accounts, which are known socks of Incorrigible Troll (see his SPI archives). Also look at the "Global Account Details" of each sock; they are all Globally Locked as accounts of Incorrigible Troll, as you can see here [46] [47] [48]. It appears to be a large-scale impersonation and vandalism campaign. As such, I think that you should move this case to the SPI for Incorrigible Troll after it has closed, in order to prevent other users from being confused later on. I'd like to mention that Incorrigible Troll also seems to be from a state in the eastern US (as evidenced in one of the blocked ranges he used in a recent case I filed at his SPI), but there were 2 suspect IPs with similar behavioral edits that located to the other side of the globe. That being said, those 2 IPs haven't been CU-linked, so it's possible that they were a different vandal or another sockmaster editing while logged out. AzUrArInG and Incorrigible Troll's IPs seem to geolocate to different US states, but I could be wrong and Incorrigible Troll could have access to more IPs (such as VPNs or Proxies). I would also like to say that a number of IPs and sock accounts you listed above aren't Incorrigible Troll socks (probably socks of AzUrArInG), but the vast majority of the accounts named are Incorrigible Troll accounts, as indicated in the CU results below. It's pretty obvious that he is still able to evade his block (even after one of his ranges was blocked for 1 month), and without a way to block his IPs and account creation, his disruption is only going to get worse. Found another one (blocked and locked). Note to admins: Stewards should be notified of the recent socks (including those in the SPI archives within the last month), as all of these accounts should be Globally Locked and blocked indefinitely. All indef blocks should also have talk page access and email disabled, due to this guy's history of disruption. Only edits are vandalism. Both accounts targeted the Hurricane Irma article, which this vandal has threatened to do (and vandalized) in the past. The 2nd account listed was created several hours before the last known Incorrigible Troll sock was blocked. Either way, can someone please implement rangeblocks on this guy's IP ranges? Ducks. For the fake "bot" account, the only edit (currently deleted) was vandalism on my talk page. The name of these accounts and their editing behavior are a direct giveaway. Requesting a sleeper check, as experience has shown that this guy usually creates multiple socks in one go, so there are likely other socks out there. Also found a sock IP. It geolocates to roughly the same place where other IPs used by this sockmaster are known to geolocate to. By the way, you might want to disable talk page access on that IP, since the talk page is only being used for vandalism/disruptive editing following the block. Admins should also see this list generated by the sock IP. Admins should also watch out for the new potential sock accounts that Incorrigible Troll said he would create in this post on his IP's talk page. The language and behavior of this sock is identical to Incorrigible Troll's, and I've never had any interaction with Wikinger before, while I've crossed paths with Incorrigible Troll multiple times this year. The first account, the bot sock, is probably one of his, despite the slight deviation in behavior, due to the timing of the account creation and the user pages vandalized. The first sock needs to be Globally Locked, in any event. Requesting a Sleeper Check to be run on all named accounts, and additional IP Rangeblocks, since this vandal has still used loopholes to continue his socking campaign.
