13 August2005 (UTC)Briangotts (
talk·contribs) - Briangotts has been an active editor of Wikipedia since early February this year and has almost 3000 edits. He is a serious contributor who has added a lot of interesting articles on Judaism, East European history and even Scandinavian history. He is courteous and has integrity. I think he is a natural admin. --

Support Most edits are very minor and many times doesn't use edit summeries. That said there's nothing particularily wrong and he does enforce and revert unreferenced edits which is good, plus Brian voted Support. --

There are some RfA candidates I don't know that I support - I just browse through the talk and contributions list and see whether he is fit or not. —

In answer to Tomer's question: Yes, even with the most wonderful of candidates, consensus needs to be determined. This is a community-wide decision, after all.

In answer to Bratsche's answer to Tomer's question: Do you honestly think I was asking seriously? Seriously?

To clarify, read SlimVirgin's comment in her vote, 2 above mine. S/he said "No question.", so I had to come up with a question. Her comment required it. I couldn't just ignore it. :-p

Questions for the candidate A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
A. Deletion per Vfds and speedy nominations, reverting vandalism and, where necessary, blocking habitual vandals, as well as helping mediate disputes when necessary. I would also, of course, continue to expand articles and draft new ones.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. I gratly expanded the article
Khazars during my time on Wikipedia, and started many other pages related to Khazar history and culture. Wikipedia is now one of the most complete and (in my opinion) accurate web references available on Khazar studies.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. In one instance I had a conflict with
User:VMORO over the classification of the
Bulgars as a Turkic people. I felt that he took an unnecessarily belligerent tone with me. Nevertheless, I did what I could to reach a compromise which seems to have worked in the months since (at least, I've heard nothing from him to suggest he was unhappy about the resolution). I think that in an environment like Wikipedia, with thousands of different perspectives, the only way the project can function is with these types of compromises, that allow access to all views.
