10 August2005 (UTC)BaronLarf (
talk·contribs) has been contributing to Wikipedia since November 2004 and has logged a very respectable 5000 edits, 3100 of which have been in the article namespace. He is a patient, diligent, and diplomatic editor, he knows his way around the site, and he works well with others. He recently put a lot of effort into bringing Porgy and Bess to Featured Article status, a notable achievement. BaronLarf would make a fine admin. --

Support conditional only on Baron's acceptance of the nomination; they're a fine editor and I'm confident they'll be a fine admin too.

Comment I completely respect your right to vote however you want without giving a reason; I hope you didn't change your mind simply because someone called attention to your vote. Cheers.

Questions for the candidate A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
A. First and foremost, I would help out wherever another, more experienced admin advises me help is needed. Having said that, I would most like to help out reverting vandalism that constantly creeps around on my watch list and keep tabs on those processes linked to
Template:Backlog, trying to make the Wikipedia machine run smoothly (At the moment, this includes
WP:VFD/Old and
WP:TFD.) I would not, of course, rule on any issue which I feel too passionately on or have voted on.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. I'm most pleased about Porgy and Bess, which I made major changes to and helped to bring to featured status recently. I'm also happy about
List of operas and the new wikiproject I created,
Wikipedia:WikiProject Wisconsin. During the recent war over schools, I was happy to help craft a temporary truce in the matter.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. Like any one who has been around here long enough, I've had people who have been unhappy with me. I deal with it by taking a break from that article and, when necessary, taking a full-fledged
Wikibreak. The biggest conflict was the
WP:RFAr that
SummerFR brought against me over the
Jeb Bush article, which was dismissed. (For a larger summary from my POV, see
