March 4 Information

Battlestar Galactica

I'm in the middle of season 2 of the newer series of Battlestar Galactica and I'm trying to avoid spoilers.

In the show, there's a picture that the Viper pilots all touch on their way out of the briefing room before they go into a battle. It's also hanging in the background of various other scenes. It looks like a person kneeling on the ground to me but I can't quite tell. What is this a picture of? And like I said, I'm trying to avoid spoilers, so please keep that in mind. Thanks, Dismas| (talk) 00:23, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Can you give me an episode and time where they touch the picture? I'll loaded it up on Netflix and see if I can remember. A Quest For Knowledge ( talk) 00:30, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply
See the entry for the image on BattleStarWiki, it references Series 1 Episode 1 so shouldn't spoil anything for you. Nanonic ( talk) 00:45, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply
Great! Thanks! That's what I figured it was but wasn't sure. And now that I see that the scene that explains it was cut from one of the episodes, it's not surprising that I didn't know. Thanks again, Dismas| (talk) 01:05, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply
One word of warning. The ending sucks ass. Skip the final 45 minutes of the series finale. Trust me, you'll be a happier person. A Quest For Knowledge ( talk) 01:09, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply
I disagree. I thought the series ending was excellent and nicely rounded off a great show. But this is not a forum, so I'll shut up now. Astronaut ( talk) 13:01, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply
I also disagree. I think it was as strong a ending as could be expected.
Obviously, the joy in a show like Battlestar is more in the premise than the resolution, so those first couple episodes will always be my favorites, but I'm happy with how the series ended. APL ( talk) 05:24, 6 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Radio theme music - Journey into Fear

I'm listening to the BBC Radio 7 series of Eric Ambler's Journey into Fear. I would like to know who wrote the theme music, and if it as been used for anything else. DuncanHill ( talk) 01:50, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Can't help, Duncan, sorry. It sounds like the sort of theme tune that's specially composed for a series and never used again. But I could be completely wrong. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 08:10, 4 March 2011 (UTC) reply
Thanks, it reminds me of something but I can't quite remember what. DuncanHill ( talk) 23:15, 5 March 2011 (UTC) reply
