- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's
talk page or in a
deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was no consensus. The original rationale was resolved by Valereee. There has been some concern about whether the addition has staying power, but should it not stick it can be renominated (probably along with
Matt Holloway (blogger)). Regarding the
WP:MOVEREDIRECT issue, I'll take Jay's suggestion to turn
Michelle Davis into a disambiguation page. --

- Comment The paragraph at the target article is about her and her partner. I wondered about inserting their names there, but it seemed unkind. People who are searching for her will be getting to the story and links they're looking for. We could add the name of the blog into both the redirect and the article, maybe?

- per
WP:MOVEREDIRECT the page should not be moved, but a companion redirect created at the base name if this is kept. As there are no other people by this name with an article, and no obvious
WP:DABMENTIONs a disambiguation page seems unlikely to be viable at the present time.

- Delete: at several removes from the topic of the target. My reading of the article section is that there's nothing particularly noteworthy about the particular so-and-so's who created the blog whose example is being used as an opportunity to discuss that particular kind of cultural appropriation. The discussion has long-term significance, but the particular example doesn't, so I don't think the mentions of the two creators of this blog are likely to remain long-term in the article. For the same reason, I believe
Matt Holloway (blogger) should be deleted as well. –

Western Korea points to
Regions of Korea, but that page only mentions "west" once, and given that we deleted
West Korea →
Korea eight years ago, I don't think that retargeting to
regions of Korea is a great idea. The term "West Korea" is used occasionally as a joke or misunderstanding (e.g.
this incident involving
Gary Johnson). The only
WP:RS I can find using it to refer to Yanbian is
this in a
Vice Magazine article. Per
WP:PROPORTION I do not think this is worth adding a mention at the target.

- That's a good point.
Geography of Korea would be a much better fit, as it discusses the
western parts of the peninsula
in its lede. This would mean also retargeting
Western Korea. I've bundled it. --

- Retarget both to
Regions of Korea
Geography of Korea, which discusses western Korea much more directly than Regions of Korea does—the former as an {{
avoided double redirect}} / {{
r from incorrect name}} of the latter. Whether or not anyone actually calls Western Korea "West Korea", it's reasonable for a reader to think they might. The distinction between "west"/"western" etc. is inconsistent—I've lived on the
North Shore in
Eastern Massachusetts,
Northern California, and
South Jersey—and there's no reason to expect a reader to know which is used here, if they just have a general sense of "that part of Korea that's on the western side". --

Not sure if this redirect is a plausible typo (with 1000 in place of 10000); it gets very few pageviews and is several modifications away from the canonical article title ("asteroid" vs "minor planet", parentheses vs colon, hyphen vs dash).

- The result of the discussion was retarget to
Gabriel Vargas (disambiguation) per
WP:JUSTDOIT and since deletion isn't really an option since the disambiguator in the redirect has been shown to be ambiguous. (I created
Gabriel Vargas (disambiguation) after the nomination of this redirect was made; thus, I'm closing this discussion early since the solution seems clear.)

- According to this it appears to have been a small secret associated with the UK version of the Wii Virtual Console
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2007/02/welcome_to_the_warp_zone. I haven’t seen much else regarding this so it appears to have never been more than a small message in one relatively small region so I’m doubt it’s worth mentioning. I am also against retargeting to
Warp (video games) since I doubt someone typing this would be looking up warps in general.--

If this is supposed to be about roads in Callao, then it is incorrectly capitalised, and ambiguous. I suggest we delete: it is rarely used.

- Comment This is evidently referring to Callao as a port (it is Peru's largest port), with "Roads" another term for
roadstead, akin to something like
Hampton Roads. There is one incoming link that uses it in this context. However, there is no mention at target, and quick searching hasn't turned up much evidence that this term has historically been used for Callao. Keep if a sourced mention can be added to target, otherwise it may be best to delete and update the incoming link.

This title seems highly implausible as a search term. From doing some research it seems that it can only come from a corruption of the Vietnamese name, Biển Đông (lit. "Sea" and "East"), that has switched the words, removed the space between them, and removed all of the diacritics. In addition,
according to Wiktionary, "Biển" should always be capitalized anyway. Unsurprisingly, Google results are completely unrelated.
