This phrase has been used a few times, but to refer to a variety of subjects.
Here is an example of a satirical article with this title that makes a joke which includes an allusion to the current target. It does appear to mostly be used as a nickname for
Theresa May, so redirecting there might be appropriate (e.g.
[1],
[2]). Other uses, however, are not even obliquely related, such as
[3],
[4]. Thus, I would lean toward deletion, but am also open to redirecting to
Theresa May. signed,

Delete - Extremely confusing redirect name, no one can tell whether this is a district or a town

Delete This redirect title will cause serious misunderstanding, since the district has never been name 'Quảng Bình'. A redirect like this will cause readers to think that 'Quảng Bình' is another name for 'Quang Bình District', while that's absolutely not true

- The result of the discussion was keep. The rough consensus leans towards maintaining a redirect to the disambiguation page, because the inclusion of "the" makes it less likely for the star to be the primary topic.

Should this redirect to
Sun or
The Sun?

- I would not be inclined to compare these, because
The Moon (capitalized) also redirects to
Moon, with the corresponding dab page at
Moon (disambiguation).

- The only other
uses of "The Moon" with articles are a
card and
song both of which seem to be obscure unlike the newspapers. Furthermore the term "moon" used to refer to other natural satellites is relatively common to using "sun" to refer to other stars with planets since our soler system alone has many moons and terms like "one of Jupiter's moons" aren't uncommon meaning a reader is more likely to use "The Moon" if they expect "Moon" to be about moons in general. That said when a lower case "s" is used for "The sun" Earth's star is usually meant even if less common than "The moon".

- Weak
Sun per my comments at the RM, while the Earth's star is a proper noun it is sometimes written as the "sun" (even if not technically correct) while if the newspaper was (which appears to be hardly at all) written like this it would be outright incorrect. Indeed as noted while the redirect has been changed a bit it was originally (and for most of its history) pointed to the star even though until
2009 "The Sun" was about the British newspaper. This may be an unusual case of
WP:DIFFCAPS but I still think its valid. Given that there has been mixed opinions on where the upper case goes I think we can agree that the lower case can go to the star.

- Keep – A lot of people would type "the sun" in lowercase while searching for any of the newspapers and other works bearing this title. As long as the title "
The Sun" is a dab page (re-confirmed at a recent discussion), the lowercase spelling should not lead elsewhere. —

- As noted per
WP:DIFFCAPS this seems to be a case where caps can make a difference and land at different places. In addition "Keep" means leaving this to redirect to
Sun (the longstanding title
and title where it pointed at the start of this RFD and still points) so presumably you meant "Retarget to
The Sun".

Crouch, Swale, actually I'd moved it back to the longtime "Sun" after the RfD started because the close of the upper-case RfD did not mention lower-casing, or mandate that the lower-case should be kept at the controversial move it obtained during that discussion.

- Retarget to
Sun as the overwhelming
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC by usage. Among my first 100 Google Books hit I do not see a single usage of the "the sun" (or for that matter, "the Sun") referring to anything but the big yellow sky orb. Note also
the sky and
The Sky,
The French,
The Holy Spirit, etc. not pointing to the comparatively obscure proper nouns or disambiguation pages about them.

- Its interesting that this redirect has been questioned since as noted until 2009 the upper case was about the British newspaper while now its a DAB, also the long-term significance criteria was added in 2011 which would favour the star in addition to DIFFCAPS which has been clarified in recent years.
Crouch, Swale (

- Keep as redirect to
The Sun. For the infrequent use in articles, I'd say that links to
the sun may more likely be intended for the
Sun, but careless links meant for the newspaper are certainly possible. The main usage, however, would be people entering "the sun" in the search box. The vast majority of people looking for that big object in the sky would simply type "sun", and the overwhelming majority of people looking for the newspaper would type "the sun". (I certainly never bother capitalizing anything when I'm searching.) To best serve the needs of our readers, the most desirable option is to offer them the dab page. The IP mentions Google Books results, but it's very different for a Google search, where
Sun usage doesn't even appear in the top ten results. It would be generous to say that only about 40% of the top 100 refer to
Sun, and that's including lots of incidental usage.

The term "fleebagger" is not discussed in the article. While it is a real term used by some commentators to describe legislators who fled the state during this controversy, there's no evidence that it's continued to be a live term relating to this specific event, and without discussion in the article it should be deleted.
