Where is the dispute?

Who is involved?

Acceptance of Mediation

What is the dispute?

An image was recently added to Hagar's article relating to the topic of (Banishment of Hagar), however, the used picture is half-naked. I suggested to change it to another picture, as it's about the exact same topic (Banishment of Hagar) with clothes on. I see no reason to keep an artist's POV of giving Hagar less respect than any other Biblic characters. She's the only one with naked pics, and I don't think Wikipedia should share an opinion that doesn't relate to the content of the article. The discussion on the talk-page had no progress nor reasoning, starting from the revert's summary: "It isn't "offensive" at all except in your imagination".

What would you like to change about this?

I'd appreciate replacing this picture from the article to this one.

How do you think we can help?

I'd appreciation getting a third opinion on the debate, if it is acceptable for User:Paul_Barlow to prefer a naked picture over a normal one (the nakedness does not relate to the article's content).

Mediator notes

Since you're explicitly asking for a Third Opinion I have listed this dispute there, probably best to close this for now. Regards, Bob House 884 ( talk) 10:25, 14 May 2011 (UTC) reply

A Third Opinion has been given by User:Stephan Schulz, he seems to have considered and addressed of both parties, so I'm closing this - obviously without prejudice to re-filing if things escalate and both parties are willing to involve themselves. (Please if you do start another case, remember to notify the other party and ask them to sign the acceptance header). Bob House 884 ( talk) 14:07, 14 May 2011 (UTC) reply
