The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages:
Illustrations,
Photographs and
Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages:
Talk:Graphics Lab,
Talk:Illustrations,
Talk:Photographs and
Talk:Maps. This specific page is the requests page for the illustration workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be improved or created for a Wikipedia article. Clicking the "New Request" button will bring you to a standard template for submitting requests, as well as general advice that should be followed.
Advice to requesters
All requests:
Please make sure your
request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{
GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension.
Ourfair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.
If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}.
SVG requests:
Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use
SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
Per our
non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

QuickQuokka: Thank you, and sorry for the delay in responding. Well, all three designs originate from BBC Derby. According to the
original website, the designer of the
original concept was Leon Summers, with BBC Derby modifying his submission to create what was known as "Design 3". Which is also exactly what BBC Derby did with
Martin Enright's submission, modifying it to create "Design 1" (which was of course chosen as Derbyshire's flag). Hence, I'd recommend giving the new file the same CR tag as "Design 1". Hope this helps.

QuickQuokka: Good point, and profuse apologies for the excessively long delay in getting back to you. Well, I certainly don't pretend to be an expert on CR licenses on Wikipedia. The impression I've gotten is that the uploader wanted to waive their rights to the file, but went about it the wrong way, resulting in using a license that creates a slight bit of confusion. After considering it all, I'd now recommend giving the new file the "Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported", in order to cover the same bases while making it clear that the uploader is not the original designer. Hope this helps.

Flag of the Governor of Anguilla - minor modification
Flag of the Governor of Anguilla
Article(s)
Any article this is already on.
Request
Could someone please modify the above file representing the flag of the Governor of Anguilla, so that the shield in the centre looks the way it does in this depiction
here? The shield from
this SVG file here could be used as a template for the change (albeit with the same kind of gold border used on the shield in the current version of the file). Thanks.

Badge of British Leeward Islands (1952–1958)
Flag of Leeward Islands (1952-1958)
Flag of the Governor of Leeward Islands (1952–1959)
Please make a version of these symbols from the years 1871-1952. The only thing that needs to be changed is the crown on the coat of arms to the one I provided.
[1]. The governor's flag began to be used in 1874.

Swiãtopôłk: Sorry for intruding again, but I just thought I'd provide a full template of the Tudor Crown variant of the COA to the gallery, for the convenience of anyone who takes on this request. :)

Can someone please create Diagrams of highway signs of Nepal from NH22 to NH80?
Here are some instructions on how to create these Diagrams:-
Shape= rectangular (round corner), Frame=white, Background= Dark green, Text= white, Nepali font style=Preeti ttf/milan ttf, English font style=UK Transport heavy/ UK Transport medium.
The Nepali text should be placed up and English text should be down and Nepali font should be 17% larger than the English text.
There is a font character map on the website where you can find how to type in Nepali.
(in English) NH - /f/f (/f/f will be converted into Nepali when you will select Preeti ttf) --

the file is listed in Commons. Even though it is high res enough, I'd just like to omit the "raster graphics", especially when zooming in on the image. Thank you!
I am wanting to place the file requested, per the regulations of
fair use, since the COA is used in 3 articles, not one. Mod creator

Proposed flags of the Black Country (2012)
Current flag of the Black Country, which was "Design A" among the competition finalists.
Would anybody be able to please create SVG files for the other five finalists from the 2012 competition held to establish an official regional flag for the
Black Country? They can all be seen as part of
this image here, with "Design B" in the upper-right, "Design C" the middle-left, "Design D" the middle-right, "Design E" the lower-left, and "Design F" the lower-right. Thanks.

Hi, I would like if someone can kindly please vectorize the flag of Hartford County, Maryland by taking the coat of arms of Hartford County from the seal and using that as a basis for the vector flag? I also ask that the coat of arms (consisting of the
crest, the shield and the motto) is uploaded as a separate file so it can be displayed alongside the flag and seal in the same style as the pages of other places in Maryland such as
Montgomery County and
Gaithersburg. This flag and coat of arms was chosen by me to get posted here as today (4 July) is US Independence Day. Thanks in advance! Happy 4th of July to everyone reading this from the United States of America!!!--

The state seal of New Hampshire, which can be used in the creation of the flag in this request.
The state flag of New Hampshire. The wreath and stars surrounding the seal (which, keep in mind, is not quite the same as the version of the seal to the left) could also be used in the creation of the new file.
I am requesting a change to the flag displayed for the Republic of Formosa on its Wikipedia page. The current flag is not historically accurate. I propose replacing it with a more accurate version of the flag used during the existence of thr Republic of Formosa in 1895. Implementing this change will enhance the historical accuracy of the article and provide readers with a correct representation of the Republic of Formosa's flag.
I assume you wanted to fix these two files. Unfortunately I am not able to edit the svg format, but I found several good quality images useful for this task.

Hi, I know this seems big but it does use some simple elements so it won't so long. I was wondering if someone (it can be more than one user) can kindly please vectorize the flags and logos of the Albanian, Austrian, Brazilian, Canadian and Chilean Olympic Committees? Almost all of these are shown on the "Flags of the World" website and are found in the following links. Albanian National Olympic Committee
https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/al@oly.html#for, Austrian Olympic Committee
https://www.fotw.info/flags/at@oly.html, Brazilian Olympic Committee
https://www.fotw.info/flags/br@oc.html, Canadian Olympic Committee
https://www.fotw.info/flags/ca@coc.html and Croatian Olympic Committee
https://www.fotw.info/flags/hr@oly.html. The exception is the Chilean Olympic Committee but that is just the logo (which is already on Commons) placed in the middle of the middle of a white background. This request is already big enough as it is so I won't spent too long explaining though the empty files help with what flags and logos need to be done and the links show what they look like. I an happy to provide further explanation if needed. This request is to celebrate the Olympic Games which starts today. Thanks in advance!--

Could somebody please create SVG files for the other four variations of F1953, which were the subject of the final commission vote to determine Minnesota's new state flag, as seen
