Originally prodded for deletion here, but subsequently deproded here. An attempt to explain the problems with this type of non-free use was made here on the uploader's user talk page, but no response was received. Bascially, this is a non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Ron's Gone Wrong#Music. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. Furthermore, I recently pushed the image down to body, thinking it's not suitable as a lead. Now I wonder whether the screenshot is contextually significant to the episode and whether the understanding of the episode can be already conveyed in text without the screenshot. I'm no longer sure whether most readers would care to visually identify the characters in the screen frame. No objections to deletion if no one else objects. Re-creation of a Dutch picture sleeve ( 45cat, discogs) deleted per 2016 FFD discussion. I brought this up to deleting admin, who said that the prior FFD discussion was a different situation or something like that and that WP:G4 wouldn't apply. The other image File:The Groove Line by Heatwave US vinyl single.png was uploaded and has been stored in Commons as free to use. I was too reluctant at the time to re-nominate the image because I thought picture sleeves would make everyone happy.
Now as I have figured, the Dutch sleeve may be neither contextually significant nor irreplaceable. A photo of the band and song title increases the Dutch sleeve's mass appeal, but I doubt deleting the sleeve would affect the understanding of the song and of distributing it. This is the only illustration in the entire article showing how Decentraland looks like. The screenshot is essential to show how this 3d virtual world is in visual terms. - I think your case is fair but WP has really clamped down on the scope of fair use lately. I’m not sure just illustrating something is enough anymore— the file has to be used to make some kind of in-depth point, like as a hypothetical example you could use File:Quick time event mockup.jpg (1)

- Thanks for uploading the low quality version. After reading carefully the inclusion criteria for the image I can't find any issue with it: 1. It doesn't have a free equivalent, all Decentraland screenshots are non free 2. It can't replace the original marketed product 3. The usage is minimal, the new version is low resolution 4. The thing depicted was previously published.

- comment - This image includes other intellectual property beyond just Decentraland itself. Deadmau5's logo is famous for it's past legal history regarding it's similarity to the Disney logo. It doesn't belong to Decentraland, it belongs to Joel Zimmerman (aka Deadmau5).
- Since the platform is built on user-generated content, I'm assuming that every in-game costume would also be trademarked by the original creator or maybe the NFT holder. How practical is it to include an image which illustrated Decenraland which doesn't also include these other unrelated intellectual property issues? Grayfell ( talk) 07:04, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

An attempt to explain the problems with this type of non-free use was made here on the uploader's user talk page, but no response was received. Bascially, this is a non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Ron's Gone Wrong#Music. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. Re-creation of a Dutch picture sleeve ( 45cat, discogs) deleted per 2016 FFD discussion. I brought this up to deleting admin, who said that the prior FFD discussion was a different situation or something like that and that WP:G4 wouldn't apply. The other image File:The Groove Line by Heatwave US vinyl single.png was uploaded and has been stored in Commons as free to use. I was too reluctant at the time to re-nominate the image because I thought picture sleeves would make everyone happy.
Now as I have figured, the Dutch sleeve may be neither contextually significant nor irreplaceable. A photo of the band and song title increases the Dutch sleeve's mass appeal, but I doubt deleting the sleeve would affect the understanding of the song and of distributing it. - I think your case is fair but WP has really clamped down on the scope of fair use lately. I’m not sure just illustrating something is enough anymore— the file has to be used to make some kind of in-depth point, like as a hypothetical example you could use File:Quick time event mockup.jpg (1)

- Thanks for uploading the low quality version. After reading carefully the inclusion criteria for the image I can't find any issue with it: 1. It doesn't have a free equivalent, all Decentraland screenshots are non free 2. It can't replace the original marketed product 3. The usage is minimal, the new version is low resolution 4. The thing depicted was previously published.

- comment - This image includes other intellectual property beyond just Decentraland itself. Deadmau5's logo is famous for it's past legal history regarding it's similarity to the Disney logo. It doesn't belong to Decentraland, it belongs to Joel Zimmerman (aka Deadmau5).
- Since the platform is built on user-generated content, I'm assuming that every in-game costume would also be trademarked by the original creator or maybe the NFT holder.
