The result of the discussion was: speedy closure (without prejudice). Infinite resolution is an intrinsic characteristic of vector graphics, so the concern expressed (and raised on previous occasions) applies to every non-free SVG file in use at Wikipedia, a practice for which no consensus to disallow has been established. This particular image's use presents no unique issues, so FfD isn't an appropriate forum in which to discuss the matter. A proposal to replace fair-use SVGs with non-scalable images should be made at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy) and advertised prominently. — David Levy 18:42, 13 December 2015 (UTC) reply

I downloaded the PNG version of this SVG image. Currently, I am viewing the image at 400px, and the image is very big at that size when viewing the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference page. I believe that the format is too superior to make the use "fair". Shall we use the PNG format instead? • The purpose of the file appears to be to display a small picture in the article, and the SVG file describes minor elements in the tower which are not visible in the size used in the article. The SVG file seems to be more detailed than needed for the intended purpose, so the file seems to violate WP:NFCC#3b. We should therefore delete the file, but it would be fine to upload a smaller file and use the smaller file in the article, provided that the smaller file is sufficiently small. -- Stefan2 ( talk) 16:48, 12 December 2015 (UTC) reply

Hello George Ho, I thought I could upload the logo with the reasoning adapted from the logo of the 2009 Climate Conference. That image is used under 'fair use' and is an even more detailed SVG than the Eiffel tower logo from 2015. Am I on the wrong track here? -- Yours sincerely. • I don't know if I would call the size of a SVG display an equivalent to "resolution" for the purpose of WP:NFCC#3. This is an unsettled issue that has come up in the WT:NFC. by depicting the subject of the article with the persons mentioned in the article, the file provides significant context. its presence significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding.
