This page has been created to support editors who could risk being harassed or threatened, on-site, off-site, or in
real life because of editorial actions they wish to take on Wikipedia. The real-life harassment is usually possible because editors have given out personal information about themselves, perhaps incrementally and inadvertently, without realizing that an unfriendly person would be able to synthesize the information, or because they felt they had no reason to preserve their anonymity when they first joined Wikipedia.
The list below consists either of editors who are certain there is no information on Wikipedia that leads to their real-life IDs, or else who are willing to deal with the consequences that difficult edits can lead to. Editors on the list should feel free to remove their names at any point without giving a reason.
Editors who are on this list and who like userboxes might like to add {{User difficultedits}} to their user page. This adds the following userbox:
*Dan T.* 03:20, 4 October 2007 (UTC) -- They left out "alien abduction with anal probe" from the list of horrors that await editors. (Addendum: That comment made more sense earlier, when there actually was a long list of alleged awful things that could happen to an editor who triggered the wrath of the wrong people.

I have a stressful job, and by comparison, few things on Wikipedia seem so bad.

If an editor should ever feel threatened enough that they need another person to do an edit, I'll do it if I agree with the edit itself.

1) Got nothing to loose. 2) Cowardice and wiki-career ambitions have become a plague on Wikipedia. 3) There's a need for it which goes beyond #(2). 4) Of course "difficult" edits /= "stupid" or "disruptive" edits. 5) Non Eastern Europe related edits only.

I wasn't aware of this list until now, but have been making "difficult" edits before in terms of reverting prolific vandals, LTAs, etc. and am still willing to do so.

You want a difficult edit, leave it to me, I’m LTA resistant up to a level of 50 LTAs.
