Until It Sleeps ( talk · contribs) Hello there. This is my third ER since registering, the second since having my username changed, and the first since my failed RfA. I registered in August 2007, and wasn't very active until coincidentally, exactly, to the day, 1 year after I registered. I have done mostly vandal-fighting here, but I have done other things. I, for example, have done some new page patrolling, and have used the ACC tool quite a bit.(I have accountcreator rights as well as rollback.)I also have an alternate account, which I use on public computers. I would like to know how I've done on my efforts, particularly vandal-fighting. Until It Sleeps 02:23, 5 April 2009 (UTC) reply

  • Wow, you are a Huggle whore lol :PPP. Your highest article edit count is 13 on Ben Roethlisberger?!? I think that you should attempt to take an article that interests you to GA (one that is not as high-profile as Roethlisberger though). This would probably help your chances at RfA gynormously (at least IMHO). — Ed 17 (Talk / Contribs) 06:22, 5 April 2009 (UTC) reply

  • You're doing great on vandal-fighting if that's what you want answered, but RfA would like to see some article work.-- Res 2216 firestar 15:49, 9 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Well, obviously vandal-fighting has been the contribution that I have been pleased about, since it composes the vast majority of my editing here. I have ADHD, so things like article writing and related things do not interest me very much. Vandal-fighting is particularly fast paced, and keeps me engaged and interested.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Well, other than vandals who have attacked my pages, there was this lovely little incident involving reverts to Rod Dreher. After I saw multiple people revert blankings to that article, I reverted what I thought was vandalism, but the account was in fact removing a very serious BLP violation, specifically, "Category:Modern pederasty". Now, at the time, I had absolutely no idea what pederasty was, until I was contacted... Later, Someone impersonating Rod Dreher began listing the article for deletion, and was subsequently blocked when it was found out that he was impersonating the real Rod Dreher. All of the details about that lovely incident can be found here, and here. Some sock puppets cropped up to re-nom the article for deletion, but they were blocked as well. All this because a few editors restored a category, of which I was the first person to do so, and that's rather unsettling, but I've been able to brush that aside for now.
