Upmerge as nom. There is a long history of CFDs lending to avoid triple intersection categories for expatriate sportspeople. Per
WP:OCAT (and especially
WP:OCEGRS), it is unlikely that the specific contributions of Nigerian expatriates to Indian football be the subject of much academic work.

Yes, that makes more sense, although the cat I am nominating is currently a subvert of the one I am proposing the merge to. The other one is a separate tree.

Nominator's rationale: Because of the title 'drugs', this template has an unclear and overly broad scope. It includes templates related to substances / recreational substances (alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, hallucinogens etc.) but also templates that relate specifically to medications (eg nitrogen mustarts, pheremones, monoclonal antibodies etc.). There is an WP:ENGVAR issue relating to the use of 'drugs' and medications' which is also going to confuse editors. 'Drugs' meaning recreational results in these being included, and 'Drugs' meaning pharmacological drugs means lots of medication templates are included.
I propose this category is renamed to
Category:Substance use templates. I think that is a clear title reflecting the intended function of this category. I think this my proposed title is clearer than "Recreational substances" (this is poorly defined), "Hallucinogens" (only covers a subset), and the current title.
Ping to these editors who contributed to the last discussion (
discussion here:
BrownHairedGirl,
Marcocapelle,
Inter&anthro)- my take is that there was general consensus that the current title was not helpful, but that a proposed title wasn't found. I'd like to hear thoughts about this suggestion and also any alternate titles that might better define the category's scope.

Oppose. Procedurally, per Marcocapelle ... but also substantively. "Substance use" is a highly vague term, whose literal meaning encompasses vast swathe of human activity. --15:46, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Keep -- I thought this was going to be about substance abuse, but it seems to cover both legal and illegal classes of drugs. I see no reason to change. Indeed sugar and flour are substances, but I do not think we would want we would want them in this. There may be a very slight ENGVAR issue, but nothing to cause a problem.

I'm not sure that C2C applies as the parent category uses "anti-immigrant politics" whereas this one uses "activism", which I haven't proposed changing. Maybe it should be changed?
