As per previous CFDs
[1] and this one
[2], we don't subcategorize per what type of athlete a person is.

Support Merge per nom - CfD has been very clear in this. Also make sure entries have "German basketball players" added if it has been removed in favor of this catregory.

Support merge. Many precedents resulting in upmerge and deletion.
Jrcla2 (

Support merge. Geez, if we don't have "players from New York, Chicago or Los Angeles", we shouldn't have this. -

Yes! So, what are we waiting for? Let's rename the categories to ga along with the name change. --

Nominator's rationale:Rename. Per actual content. While the bus manufacturer's name is now
Alexander Dennis, Alexander and Dennis are two separate bus brands. See
Category:Dennis buses.

Nominator's rationale:Merge. Basically identical categories. There's some mess since for some awards we have recipients and for some - winners.
Brandmeistertalk 10:47, 24 August 2014 (UTC)reply
Support -- As this is a national award, it is probably one we should keep under
WP:OC:AWARD, but we do not need duplicate categories.

Nominator's rationale: The categories appear to have the same scope; presumably there should be only one category, not two.
Mitch Ames (
talk) 03:45, 24 August 2014 (UTC)reply
Support nomination. Theoretically a distinction could be made (for Australian bishops migrated to other countries and bishops in Australia coming from other countries), but this is in practice hardly relevant.
Marcocapelle (
talk) 06:59, 24 August 2014 (UTC)reply
Support -- As Marco says, they are not quite the same thing, but it will be much better to concentrate on the diocese where they minister, rather than ethnic origin. In some missionary contexts, ethnic origin may also be important.
Peterkingiron (

Support per nom. In the case of Ireland, my vote would be quite different as Ireland exported quite a lot of bishops. However, is there not an established tree structure of bishops by nationality, as opposed to bishops by ministry?
