Fails WP:NGEO. West Essex is neither a legal designation nor a name commonly used. A search of reliable sources only shows the name "West Essex" used in reference to the West Essex Regional School District. The existence of the school district does not mean there is a "West Essex", that would be WP:SYNTH. Also, this was deprodded without any explanation at all by User:Andrew Davidson. - Keep We have lots of geographical names based on compass points like this such as Southern California or the West End. There will always be a sensible alternative to deletion in such cases as we always have the option of merging into the full region, of which this is a quadrant. In this case, there seems to be a reasonable level of usage as we have other articles like West Essex Park and West Essex Trail. The clincher is that there's an entire book about the place. Andrew D. - Merge Essex_County,_New_Jersey#Geography could certainly have a bit that says "These towns in the western part of the county are known as West Essex, etc, etc". Reywas92 Talk 19:55, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

WP:GNG. I have just added two {{
cite book}}s, and neither of these two mention West Essex in reference to
West Essex Regional School District, quite contrary to the statement in the nomination

The term "West Essex" is used exactly once in each book (not counting references to the school district) and there is no explanation of exactly what it is or which town are included.
