Keep a review by The Hindu is no mean thing, and by the logic of this nomination and others, the great majority of Malayalam films can't be notable films to begin with given that much of their coverage is done in their regional language and not English. English is the language of this encyclopedia, but not necessarily the sourcing. Anyway, added a source from a scholarly journal and will look for more.

Keep[1] A review from
The Hindu 50 years after its release indicates that it must have received more press then.
[2] - A song from the movie and its picturisation has also been discussed here. Considering that the movie was a big hit and is considered the first Muslim social film in Malayalam, both as per the Hindu source, it can fairly be assumed that this satisfies
WP:N.
