I am nominating this article for deletion on behalf of the subject (see
ticket:2015111010019351). He questions his own notability and thinks the page was created to for SEO purposes. –

Delete I think the subject is right he is not really notable enough for an article. I have no idea what or who an SEO is or what relevance it has.

Earlier diffs mention a business he owns, so he thinks the article was created to get more clicks to his business website. –

Delete. To me, the question is if he played a significant role in the
Iraq War troop surge of 2007, since the two references in the subject WP article are meant to show this (the book and the
Washington Post article). However, neither Cook nor the 'amnesty' program discussed in the book and article are covered in the present version or the WP article on the surge. There is not enough significance to link from that article to this one. Therefore it fails qualification number five in the notability essay
WP:SOLDIER]. -
