There appears to be a lack of BEFORE here and a conflation of content with notability; AfD is not cleanup. Regards, -- Goldsztajn ( talk) 01:10, 10 March 2021 (UTC) reply
  • addendum: it is a precedent that if a politician doesnt pass WP:NPOL, then they have to pass gemeral notability cirteria with high standards. If a person has state or national level party designation, they obviously would get coverage. Hence they need sustained, and in-depth coverage. I stand by my delete arguement above. —usernamekiran (talk) 11:01, 10 March 2021 (UTC) reply
    • usernamekiran, the links Goldsztajn and I have provided suffices for WP:GNG. From a simple reading it's clear that the subject is a notable personality in Kerala politics. -- Soman ( talk) 18:52, 10 March 2021 (UTC) reply
      • Soman, the sources provided here is a case of WP:REFBOMB. None of the sources are giving enough coverage about the person in depth. Most of them are just mentions about him or any controversy he has been involved with. Kichu🐘 Discuss 19:00, 10 March 2021 (UTC) reply
        • Sorry, but WP:REFBOMB refers to the use of reference in article mainspace. It does not apply in deletion discussions. We could go through link by link and explain why they qualify as indicators of notability. Or you could perform a WP:BEFORE process prior to nominating AfD. -- Soman ( talk) 19:28, 10 March 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Delete per WP:NPOL. We have consistently deleted the presidents of youth leagues and young party-publicans, unless they get elected to an actual office. There are few clearer precedents, and consensus is unlikely to change. Bearian ( talk) 23:32, 10 March 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Comment: Whatever the outcomes of those previous discussions, and if memory serves me correctly I've previously !voted delete in *some* cases of state-level party office holders, they are irrelevant when there is clear RS which establishes notability satisfying the GNG. Your statement misconstrues WP:POLOUTCOMES by implying that failing NPOL would trump passing the GNG, which has no community consensus whatsoever: Leaders of major sub-national (state, province, prefecture, etc.) parties are usually deleted unless notability can be demonstrated for other reasons (emphasis added).
