Redirect to Survivor: One World. The page was already redirected per WP:BLP1E, but has now been recreated for no explained reason. She lacks any notability outside Survivor and wasn't even a very notable player on the show. Almost all coverage of her is centered around her Survivor appearance. Being a guest on The Talk and wrongly spending a few hours in jail are no reasons for her to have an encyclopedia article. This article needs to go a quickly as possible. Survivorfan1995 ( talk) 01:10, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply

  • Keep per WP:GNG. Plenty of dedicated coverage about her in reliable sources:

The book coverage by Ellen Sorg adds a new twist: Survivor competitor compared to Jeopardy! competitor. It's clear from these sources that Spradlin has been covered by many reliable sources, with significant detail about her life. Binksternet ( talk) 01:16, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply
The guideline you are using as basis for deletion/redirection is WP:BLP1E. That guideline assumes that media coverage of the person is not "persistent", and that the person is a low-profile individual. Anybody who chooses to compete on a reality TV show is not a low-profile individual—they are choosing to have pictures of them all over the media, and they are choosing to have the media scrutinize their lives. The persistence of coverage of Spradlin is shown by media coverage of her wedding, coverage of her battle with the DMV, and coverage of her pregnancy. Binksternet ( talk) 01:52, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply
  • User:Binksternet: That's a weak argument. She still only has notability for being on Survivor. All Survivor contestants have the 15 minutes of fame with multiple interviews and articles about them. You're making all Survivor contestants look like they become like the Kardashian sisters, which is simply not the case. Survivorfan1995 ( talk) 02:05, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Is it really all about me? The media appears to have given Spradlin more attention than just the classic "15 minutes", so I have revived her biography, adding more sources. Spradlin is not "all Survivor contestants", she is the winner of a whole season, and the focus of various media pieces following the season. You and Gloss have effectively 'deleted' a dozen biographies of Survivor contestants by redirecting them; I have saved just a few of those by pointing out reliable sources and persistent coverage. Binksternet ( talk) 02:53, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply
  • I'm also pointing out the error of relying on WP:BLP1E when it is specifically for "low-profile individuals", which TV contestants cannot be. Binksternet ( talk) 02:55, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply
  • Keep - WP:BLP1E does not apply as it states three conditions have to be met. The sources cover the subject's life beyond the television show and the subject does not remain a low-profile individual (as evidenced by the sources). WP:GNG appears to be met as the sources are varied, reliable and give substantial coverage to the subject. ŞůṜīΣĻ¹98¹ Speak 18:36, 5 January 2014 (UTC) reply
  • True, but not everyone covered by sources is notable. She got coverage mainly for her Survivor win, and later a little false arrest, a wedding, and a pregnancy. Wrongfully spending a couple of hours in jail for a crime like check bouncing belongs on Wikinews, not Wikipedia. It's not like she was falsely accused of espionage or drug trafficking or some other serious crime. The fact that she was a game show contestant (who wasn't even a notable player in the first place) doesn't constitute much more notability. She wasn't a superstar like Richard Hatch or Rob Mariano. And someone being covered for a normal wedding and pregnancy doesn't make them notable either. I had a newspaper article when I was born; does that make me notable?
