Biography with no sources. The only source given doesn't mention him at all. The claim of being the father of karate would be notable, but there are no sources to support it. Nothing else shows he's notable.

Weak Delete After removal of the section directly copied from
Ankō Itosu which had no obvious connection to the subject there really is nothing left to indicate any notability. This includes the comment about being the father of karate which was also copied from Ankō Itosu which I also deleted. Even to biography sentence (not deleted) appears to actually refer to Ankō Itosu. The subject is not referenced.Peter Rehse (

References have been added and some effort has been made to flesh out notability. I am leaning more towards keep but am not there yet.

Weak Delete I'm not finding the coverage I'd like to see to meet
WP:GNG. Most of the coverage is by his student, and I don't consider that independent coverage. If additional sources can be found, I might change my mind. The article is improved from what it was--although that's not saying much.
