At the time of these accidents, especially the main one, there was a whole bunch of news coverage. Coach accidents aren't very common in the UK; our roads are generally quite good (even if I grumble that accross on the English side of the border the A1 still isn't dualed...) and so news coverage was inevitable. It looked likely to remain big for some time. However, there has been no lasting impact and there is no long-term notability. WP:NOTNEWS applies; yes, a coach crash is gonna get news coverage.
