Norwegian band influenced by local independent sounds and the first breed of [punk] rock and industrial new wave. The band was formed by former Haggis-guitarist, John Bender (b. 1968), and actress Christina Mae ( UK) in 2000, then as The Benders. Randy Asshole is basically a duo, but with a great number of well known musicians contributing to the recordings, the band counted about 10 contributors on their first demo and over 50 on their first album Bent to the Limit, originally recorded under the name Benders. Since the band changed its name on new years eve, 2007, it officially signed with the label Grönnsakstadiet Records, with a promise to re-record all the Benders material and release a summary record of all the material made since 2000. The record is planned to be released during q.4, 2007.

Over the past year or two it has become a trend for kids to define themselves as “Emo.” It is an abbreviation for the word emotional. Well what does that mean? Basically it is a hidden subculture of rebellious teenagers trying not to conform to the rest of society. Sounds the same as a lot of other trends from the past, right? Goth, Punk rock, things like that. Well, the difference is, emo kids have an almost metro-sexual feminine sense of style many of the teenagers who are emo are bi-sexual. Things like self mutilation and suicide are associated with the emo culture. The emo trend has become so popular that a large percentage of the mainstream music today could be described as “Emo.”
Music is one of the main causes of emo society. Lyrics like “Cut my wrists and black my eyes.” from a band named Hawthorne Heights, and similar lyrics have influenced teenagers to imitate their self-proclaimed “emo” heroes. Emo music today can be considered a genre but it didn’t always sound the same as the bubble gum teen angst music today. In the 80s minor threat, a sort of grunge punk rock band from Washington D.C. started a movement called “straight edge.” The idea was clean punk rock, not doing drugs and alcohol, things like that. Straight edge is kind of in a different genre than emo, although emo has some elements of the straight edge ideas. Straight edge mosh pits can be very violent with people executing acrobatic punches and kicks. Every year the Vans Warped Tour, a big music festival comes to Cincinnati. I went two years ago and it was mostly punk rock bands with sort of mellow fun mosh pits. This year I went and it was amazing how many bands with an emo image were there, and how many violent mosh pits there were.
Another cause of emo kids is the urge to rebel. As long as people can remember, teenagers have been rebelling. The newest different trend is always welcome in the youth world. For example; in the hippie culture many teenagers rebelled against authority during that generation. (Except hippies were about peace and love and emo kids are about death and violence.) You could call being a hippie a trend. The emo trend has sort of a rebellious feel to it. Kids trying to separate themselves from the rest of society. It is an outsider trend; yet it’s become so popular it is really part of the mainstream culture now.
The urge to fit in is contradictory to the one in the last paragraph. Yet that is why many teenagers succumb to the trend of emo. They want to dress the same way as their friends listen to the same music, and wear their hair the same way. Emo may have started from the urge to rebel, but the reason it exists and thrives today is simply that teenagers want to conform to their peers. If a kid comes to school wearing baggy pants and everyone else around him is wearing tight pants he will want to wear tight pants too. He doesn’t want to be different.
Parents control their children. Parents have authority. What they say goes. This could contribute to the cause of the emo trend. For example, a teenager sees his middle class family and it might make him uneasy that it is “normal.” His parents say that emo is weird and different. He wants to be different from his family. He may try many different trends and he may start to dress emo and listen to emo music because it sets him apart from his family.
Most emo kids are obsessed with style. Most of them have the same haircut. Sort of a reverse mullet, really long bangs and short in the back, (I think the emo haircut is the new mullet.) Emo guys wear girl pants. I can understand if a guy would like wearing tight fitted jeans but some of these dudes look like their pants are painted on. Wearing makeup is a common practice for emo boys. Lip piercings and other piercing are popular. The way that guys obsess about the way they look and fix their hair and makeup is very feminine. I think that some kids want to have good fashion sense and they are influenced by the feminine men on shows like “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” so that is why they join the emo trend, they long to have a sense of style.
Media, not just music like I mentioned before but media in general, has a huge influence on teenagers. T.V. stations like Mtv and Vh1 show all sorts of emo images. Anything that a teenager sees in the media has some sort of influence. So the fact that the media is saying, “Its cool to be emo” makes kids want to be emo. The media portrays this image that gay is ok, its allright to be gay. I think this has some effect on teenagers becoming emo, because the emo trend is somewhat bi-sexual, the media makes them feel allright about dressing weird and acting strange.
I believe that emo kids have a strong effect on our society, because they are youth and youth is the future of America. They are growing in number daily, and young people are increasingly more attracted to it. It is such a dark trend and even though it may appear somewhat harmless, the self mutilation suicide and violence is not. Call it what you will, a cheap imatation of goth, or something entirely new, I think it effects our society either way.

Invented by witches in the early to mid 17th century, Baby Snatching soon became a popular sport among those who worshipped Satan. Despite large amounts of controversy, mainly from Protestant English colonists, it prevailed as a popular pastime. Unfortunately, it never fully caught on with good people. The sport's major days ended after the Salem Witch Trials, though a few devoted fundamentalists continued to practice in hopes of the sport's comeback. This would not occur in their lifetimes.
Though still met with much controversey today, Baby Snatching has made somewhat of a comeback, particulary in the town of Hanover, MA, often called the "evil" district of Massachussetts. Babies snatched by the Hanoverians are often used in cruel experimants or for cheap labor, a new aspect of the sport that not even the witches and demons found acceptable.

In 1999 Stone Bogart released it's 2nd critically acclaimed CD “Whadayabench” in which Travis has song writing credits. Travis was known for his often alcohol fueled stage performances. Travis and drummer Steve Doerr were considered to be a highlight in the Tempe AZ music scene in the late 90’s. Upon the release of their 1996 release of “Enjoy” Stone Bogart was voted #2 best band in France by France’s main rock radio station. In 2001 Travis founded Rock and Roll BBQ. Rock and Roll BBQ quickly became a popular cooking and music website (www.rockandrollbbq.com) and quickly grew into a small enterprise. In 2004 Rock and Roll BBQ became a television show. The pilot was filmed with Jimmy Kimmel and Alice Cooper and was originally accepted and quickly dropped by Food Network. Food Network considered the food/music format to be too aggressive for their network. In 2004 Rock and Roll BBQ released three original BBQ sauces that are available around the world. Travis is releasing and touring a solo CD in 2007. The rumored title of the CD is “The Whiskey is Talkin’ (So you need to Quiet Right Down)” In 2005 Travis appeared in the award winning indie movie "Never Been Thawed".

Tolosa-Hunt syndrome is a rare disorder characterized by severe headaches and pain around the sides and back of the eye, along with weakness and paralysis (ophthalmoplegia) of certain eye muscles. Symptoms usually affect only one side of the head (unilateral). In most cases, affected individuals experience intense sharp pain and paralysis of muscles around the eye. Symptoms subside without intervention (spontaneous remission) and recur without a distinct pattern (randomly). In addition, affected individuals may exhibit paralysis (palsy) of certain facial nerves and drooping of the upper eyelid (ptosis). Other symptoms may include double vision, fever, chronic fatigue, headaches, a feeling that one's surroundings are spinning (vertigo), pain in the joints (arthralgia), and/or abnormal protrusion of one or both eyeballs (exophthalmos). The exact cause of Tolosa-Hunt syndrome is not known, but the disorder is thought to be associated with inflammation of the areas behind the eyes (cavernous sinus and superior orbital fissure).

We try to chase it,, chase what??.. Happiness? wel.. how come if its intangible? A feeling cannot be chased but it can be created, then why do we waste time searching for it?Where does the true shade of happiness lie?.... We all want to acquire something,We all have our goals. What if our every wish will be fulfilled? We will reach to a saturation point...and then? will we be happy?Does happiness only means the fulfillment of desires? what i believe is happiness can be found in more simpler ways

Declined Per WP:MUSIC#ALBUM the foremost criteria for album inclusion is that the band itself is notable. Since the band does not have an article yet, and it does not appear that this album reached any notable 'charts', it would not be accepted as an article. SkierRMH 19:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC) reply
