Vanai ( Persian: ونايي) [a] is a city in Oshtorinan District of Borujerd County, Lorestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,649 in 1,205 households, when it was a village in Gudarzi Rural District. [4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,968 people in 1,373 households. [5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,862 people in 1,573 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
In 2017, the village of Vanai was elevated to the status of a city. [6]
