Speedy deletion of Wildwood Lifestyle Center

A tag has been placed on Wildwood Lifestyle Center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TN X- Man 15:40, 11 November 2008 (UTC) reply

This account, Whirlwindweb, has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your username does not meet our username policy.
This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it - see below.

Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, related to a 'real-world' group or organization, or misleading. Also, usernames may not end with the string "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{ unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
  4. In the alternative, you can "abandon" the contributions under this username and create a new account, which is much faster and easier.
Last, the automated software systems that prevent vandalism may have been activated, which can cause new account creation to be blocked also. If you have not acted in a deliberately inappropriate manner, please let us know if this happens, and we will deactivate the block as soon as possible. You may also appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

With your short contribution history, it will be easier if you go ahead and create a new (wholly neutral sounding, please) username. Also please read this policy guide and Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines before trying to recreate the article. Wikipedia is not an advertising site or web directory, it's an encyclopedia. My apologies...

Dear Administrators, Moderators, and Editors:

I take responsibility for the actions of those who acted hastily.

Please forgive me.

Seeing the pillars you have set up, having read the policy, I see the wisdom of this Wikipedia endeavor.

I do not wish to create COI on this site. Please replace the link "Wildwood Lifestyle Center & Hospital" to [URL snipped] (as it is a legitimate link to a legitimate lifestyle center) on the entry page labeled "Lifestyle Center", and please delete my account name and password. I would like the page "Wildwood Lifestyle Center" on Wikipedia to also be deleted completely, as if it never existed, but leave the name open for future edits. It is true that this Lifestyle Center has something unique to contribute to the world, as do others like Uchee Pines and Lifestyle Centers of America, and such. As for now, I am content to give it a "post-it note" (a link) under the "Lifestyle Center" page.

I do not want anyone to misinterpret my intentions. Originally it was thought that Wikipedia was a good place for such articles, similar to how the Scott & White Memorial Hospital entry is a legitimate entry (also a sanitarium); however, not enough research or time was put into discovering the magnitude of that entry's reach or the fallacy of hasty assumptions, nor was enough effort put into the careful wording of the article. I appreciate your quick protective measures to protect the integrity of Wikipedia and that particular Lifestyle Center in question. So, I leave it to you to determine what best to do. Please consider replacing the link as requested above.

When the children of the world ask what a Lifestyle Center is, they should know that it's a place they can go to be healed from common infirmities, naturally, without drugs, straying from traditional eastern medicine conventions. They must also know that there was one right in their own backyard. All Lifestyle Centers of this kind should be listed there. It's only fair in a place where liberty and justice abounds, wouldn't you agree?

If you have any questions as to who runs that place or what it truly is, examine the link, then I emplore you to act on the dictates of your good conscience. That is all for now.

Thank you.

Hey, no worries, please feel free to edit articles under a wholly neutral user name (you can create one when you like, you're only soft blocked), but please don't edit an article about a topic with which you have something meaningful to do, like the above. Lastly, Wikipedia is not a link promotion site, we can't link the article name to the URI you gave. All the best, Gwen Gale ( talk) 18:26, 11 November 2008 (UTC) reply
