I note that the user 'Wetman' reverted my change to the Mithras article to restore the AD/BC that he had edited out, and posted an insult on the talk page for that IP address ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:84.66.148.69). I don't profess to know much about Wikipedia (I do know rather a lot about Mithras), or how this should be handled, but must I endure this? (Response to your message on my talk page.) First, please don't forget that Korea was invaded and many, many were killed in the invasions. I know the image is unpleasant, but it's important to remember it the way it happened (as much as we can--so much history from that time is permanently lost). Second, Hideyoshi deserves the largest share of blame (or credit, I suppose) for the invasions. I think this is why most books do actually refer to it this way, and this is why most know it by this name. You can't have the heroes without having the troubles. On the surface, you might think people are arguing for a Japanese point of view title, but in reality they are actually painting the picture of what happened--and they are not trying to avoid saying that it was an outright invasion by Hideyoshi. When you actually have people admitting this is the most common name of the event, I don't see why you are trying to obscure the title. All too often (rightly or wrongly) Japanese are accused of whitewashing the truth with pretty words, but this time it seems we are doing it for them. Can you ask him to clarify what he means? He said, "If it's up to me, I have to copyright to those pics I offered," which might mean he _wants_ to copyright them. The other picture... He clearly said that he intends to have no copyright, but is not sure if pictures of displays in a museum are copyrighted. So he said, if it's up to him, he would consider those copyrighted by the museum (pictures taken by himself), which is untrue.

His/her block log shows that he/she was blocked for 24 hours on 19:31, October 2, 2006 (UTC) while his/her edits to Talk:Korea started on 21:39, October 4, 2006 (UTC) after the block expired. My observation was correct at the time of reviewing his/her block. Anyway, block log entries are permanent, so there's nothing further I can do. first WaterMark is something I read in A Book called "Science and Technology in Korean History Innovations excursions and Issues" would it be better if it was Korean watermark or I left a ref under the article?

Please take a look at Demographics of South Korea. I've been trying to add content from the U.S. Library of Congress Country studies, public domain content. I thought you were supposed to add reputable content, even if you didn't know Wikipedia formatting rules, so that others could improve it. Instead, one editor keeps just deleting it, changing his reasons every time. First, he thought it was copyright violation. It wasn't. Then he complained that it wasn't wikilinked. I added wikilinks. Now he says it's irrelevant, even though it's all demographics content directly from the demographics section of the country study. I don't know what his problem is. Battle of Chingshanli article keeps on being editted by this one Japanese Wikipedian Nanshu and uses Japanese sources for his infomation claiming its a farce and under-rates Japanese KIA/WIA and the end of the article is this: "This means that the only source that was said to support the Korean victory was a fiction." also looking at his edit history he is obviously very biased against China and VERY biased Against Koreans don't know if you can help anything but any help would be appreciated.

There is a user called User:Opp2 in Talk:Dokdo. He seems to be bias, and many editors in Wikipedia notice the issue. He claims that he will "delete the description about Japanese contradiction and terra nullius for NPOV and clearing the fabrication if no one can confirm a Japanese government's original source." I don't think this is a good idea, and I am afraid that Dokdo article will be edited in a wrong biased way, especially without coordination between editors. So I told him several times that he is bias and he doesn't simply have enough witness to simply support his argument. He is being really tough to protect himself against criticism from a lot of opposing editors. He demands for wikipedia editing guideline. The quote by this user: "Do you say that the lie and POV have to leave at Wikipedia? Is that written in the guideline? Please teach where of the guideline to be being written."

I then tried to revert my own edits (as the 1st rv ws a mistake) and reverted to your edits instead of the IP Address whose edits I reverted. I hope that makes sense!

Hello, Wikimachine. I'm sure you know a lot of people are sort of watching but not reading Opp's lectures anymore at the Dokdo page. It's great that you are trying your best to be nice to him, but please don't encourage his crusade and original research. When and if he provides proper secondary sources (in English, please!), other editors can judge the verifiability and reliablity of his sources. It doesn't make sense to me to add his obscure and controversial claims first, without any proper citations. I've never seen people put in new strange claims together with a "citation needed" tag. As far as I've seen, those tags are added when some pre-existing sentence is not too controversial but not obvious either, and has already been long-standing in an article. In the Dokdo case, it would make more sense to try to keep the discussion about citations in the talk page, until other editors agree that Opp's claim has been properly referenced. Thanks. No, Peace Corps can see the reversal of power relations - that is, if Peace Corps has that much potential to expand cultural imperialism, it has that much potential to reverse that relations. Anyways, Visviva said that the todo list was outdated & I wanted a much smaller To-do list. I was going to make the to-do list like that of WikiProject Japan.

The real problem arose when Good friend100 suggested categorizing the to-do list into those of corresponding working groups.

It's really impossible to do categorization that way. So, after a few edits at the to-do list (to make it look like one) I gave up. For example, military history & history... uh... where's the line? And housekeeping group gets all the messed up articles - which are pretty much the entire Korea-related articles. It's too confusing. I can't redo the todo list by myself. Hi. This is user Wikimachine blocked by admin Nlu for "Disruption and taunting" @ IP address 69.245.43.115 (I think there's another one, but the admin blocked both).

The block evolved out of a dispute on talk page of the article Goguryeo, in which Chinese POV editors and Korean POV editors wrangled over whether or not to put Chinese viewpoint on the country, mainly derived from the Northeast Project. I filed a sock puppetry case on user Ksyrie (later Nlu changed suspected sock puppet to Assault11) & did some serious research into all of the accused' history & possible IP addresses.

However, I found some missing links that blocked me from getting a final conclusion. Therefore, to clarify those missing links, I asked the accused to provide me their IP addresses.

And then, Assault11 replied, "Wow....stupid" questions like this? If anything, it would be in your utmost interest to NOT further reduce your stature by succumbing to non sequiturs." I had always suspected Assault11 to be sock puppet, & the fact that he was protesting this badly further strengthened my preconception.

I replied, "I don't know why you'd react that way, unless you were really a sock puppet & really unwilling to tell me your IP address. I already know, but I want to find out who's lying. Why, is this against the rules?"

Then admin Nlu said that "unless you were really a sock puppet" was inappropraite & would necessitate a ban in future cases. Since his reasoning sounded absurd & perhaps out of this frustration that he might have had against me for effectively rebutting all of his arguments in the dispute. So, I requested Nlu to get other admins to voice their opinion on the issue.

The entire deal was that Nlu wasn't going to categorize my comment as a personal attack until midst of the debate, which had already defined what Nlu had to go for (which is personal attack) in order to respond effectively.

In midst of the debate I posted this not to Nlu, "At the same time, I'd like all others -Ksyrie, Yeahsoo, Time of flight, and Assault11, to reply to my request." Then Nlu posted "Stricken as improper; do it again and a block will result." I had clarified in debate that a discussion was 2-sided & required both consent of the demanding and demanded in order for the results of the discussion to occur. Nlu had not replied to that, & I wasn't saying "unless you're a sock puppet" this time. I was merely asking for their IP adderss & I had already clarified that asking for someone's IP address is not harmful (which Nlu failed to reply to). Nlu's mode of discussion disturbed me b/c he was constantly ignoring my explanations & continuously asserted his threat to block if I asked for IP address again. This seemed more like a personal matter now, in which Nlu was going to place his position over mine as an authority - which I realized I had to contest in order to balance the debate.

So, I contested Nlu's right as an admin to block me with a 3-pyramid logic, which he simply ignored & to which he replied "Whatever. Again, do it again you will be blocked."

I just knew that Nlu didn't have any right as an admin to say "whatever, do it again you'll be blocked." At the same time, I knew that at some point in the discourse I had to clarify the extent of my rights as a Wikipedia user and limit of Nlu's powers granted as an admin. Therefore, I used this chance, and said "Whatever? Not again... Try, and I'll talk to another admin to unblock me.".

Nlu replied "Your invitation is accepted. You have been blocked for 48 hours. Do it again after your block expires, and the block will be one week". Thus the innocent was blocked...

Here are the problems.

1) "Try" was in context in which I would ask the users for their IP address with the personal attack of them possibly being sock puppets. a) That would be a case only when I repeat "unless you're a sock puppet", but if I were simply to ask for their IP address without personal attack, the block would be invalid.

2) "another admin" was in context in which Nlu had failed to bring opinions of other admins to the table & in which I was sure that other admins would agree with me.

3) Your invitation? I have a question about that. Just exactly what did I do to satisfy the 2 conditions mentioned above (1 & 2)? I reserve full right to contest the powers of a user as an admin in case of abuse.

And as for any implication that you can derive from the discussion, please rethink. You can clearly see that I was arguing on a completely objective, debate-like basis. I don't know how Wikipedia's policy works, so I just thought informing you on possible sockpuppets of Assault11 would be best. I think I know who this individual is. He trolls in internet forums using sockpuppets making similar attacks on Korea, particularly with regards to Goguryeo. I believe Ksyrie and Yeashoo are unrelated. Sorry Wikimachine. The page for the Wikipedia: Association of International Wikipedians was finally deleted. :( I guess my effort was for nothing. Anyways, there will be another chance and I will do a better job next time. I think the administrators wanted to delete it cause it was too poor in quality. Next time, I will elaborate and extend the page. For now, let's just forget about AINW. Your logo is not gone, fortunately. So, no great losses were caused. :)

You said that you liked animes. I prefer mangas instead. They contain more stories and has better art (it's just my opinion). I don't like love hina anymore. Yes, it is true that it has ecchi in it, and that is one of the reasons why I don't like love hina anymore. The one that I currently like, or my favorite, is negima (mahou sensei negima, magic teacher negima, magister magi negima, 마법 선생 네기마, 魔法 先生 耐氣魔). It contains beautiful art (only the manga) and the story line is awesome, especially the part with the action/magic. It's from the same author of love hina (rabu hina, 러브 in 러브). After refreshing from the stress (seems like you were in some trouble too), lets start a fresh new life in Wikipedia (all languages) again! Ahn neung until we meet again! Yes, I still regret that I let the admins delete AINW. It had 5 members before the last second it was deleted. :( Don't watch the anime for negima. It sucks. It might seem like one of those one guy with 50 billion girls, but it is really an action/magic story. Just go through the first 2~3 volumes, then the story line will get very interesting. I bet that you will regret later for not reading this. I 100% guarantee that you will enjoy it. This might be a random question, but are you a student (high, mid, elemen, but not college)? You specified in your revert summary that you are doing this (ie. reverting) because I did not respond to your claim on my talk page stating: "I don't think a wiki is usable [...] as a source". What kind of response do you expect to this? If you think that wikis are unreliable then what are you doing here at Wikipedia? Perhaps making it unreliable too by removing relevant information.

Anyway, the fan problem is very real and I have a first-hand experience with this as a user of several ThinkPads. If you, for some unclear reason, are not satisfied with the two sources I've given, feel free to find one that is better-suited to your expectations. But it just so happens that the two most-informative independent sources for information about ThinkPads are a wiki and a forum. You are removing true, relevant information from the article. And this is wrong, no matter what rationale you give to support your POV. The rules you are quoting are abstract and good for all usual encyclopedia topics but impossible to satisfy in such articles, because there are hardly any books or scientific journal articles about ThinkPads.

There's even a user-contributed application to control the fan [1], the whole story is really not a hallucination. Now if you don't question that the story is true, an example of productive behaviour would be to find a better source for Wikipedia citation. Why don't you do that? On the contrary, I challenge you to do it, because now it looks as if you are letting a caught criminal loose because of your benevolence and this is really insulting to me as I haven't done anything wrong. You are making some awfully big assumptions about someone you've never met. I'm not sure why you can't find a way to be civil here. The reason that your template was deleted was that I was cleaning up unrelated vandalsim on the Virigina Tech page. The information about the shooter being Koren had not yet made it to the local news, and it appeared to be non-sequitar. If you don't belive me, take a gander at my contribution history for that evening.

As you can see, I have not re-reverted this. I would have apologized for the error had you simply said "Not sure if you're aware, but the shooter was Korean... that's the connection." Instead though, you decided to blow your top and take it personnally. You assumed that I was being "rude" and targeting you. Your subsequent replies reaffirm the fact that you don't seem to know how to interact with other people here.

If you hadn't noticed, we aren't having an argument over content. You are getting all mad over an edit that you feel was malicious (rude), and I'm telling you to chill out and not assume everyone's out to get you.

And, for the record, your timeline's a bit off bud... I (incorrectly) removed the template, you threw a little temper tantrum on the talk page, and THEN I told you to be civil. I have not re-reverted this back.

The reason that I was editing as an anon is because I was cleaning up vandalism at the time. I do have an account and have contributed to a number of pages. I can see that we aren't getting anywhere here. I'll break this down into little bite sized chunks for you:

• I did not delete your tag because I was trying to be rude. YOU are the one that assumed that. I was removing it because, at the time, it didn't seem to belong. My edit was made in good faith (as I've been trying to get you to understand).
• After you lambasted me for deleting your tag, I learned (not through you) that the shooter was Korean, and so I did not remove it another time. YOU are the one that is assuming that I have deleted it multiple times under a diffent userIDs. I'm afraid that this assumption just plain isn't true.
• I am not arguing over whether the tag should be there. I never was. I have a problem with the way you are choosing to talk to me. As I can see in your talk page, you've had the same problem with other people that you've interacted with on Wikipedia. Even when you are right, it doesn't give you right to act uncivilly.
• I can see that you haven't taken me up on my offer to look at my contrib history for that evening. Perhaps if you did, you'd rethink your assumptions about me. I spent the better part of an hour chasing down folks who were in the process of vandalising multiple pages at a time (including Virginia Tech Massacre). I guess that'll teach me to help people out, huh?
