As far as naming places go, things work a bit differently in South Africa than you may be familiar with in the US. The municipalities are (usually) only significant for legal and administrative purposes, and aren't used for ordinary geographical reference. For saying where something is, the fact that the municipality passes laws is not so important. This is because a single municipality often includes multiple towns/villages/suburbs. Statistics South Africa defines "Main Places" and "Subplaces", which are somewhat official and would probably be the appropriate names to use.
That being said, I have no issue with having both the place name and the municipality listed, as you have done in the airline articles. - htonl ( talk) 03:09, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Here they are ! I am not proud of them, because the weather was cloudy. And it is hard to approach buildings to take a nice photos, because many pedestrians paths are closed for security purposes. And there are also highways forbidden to pedestrians. I hope that the photos will please you. There are thousands of rabbits on the CDG airport. You see them from the plane before taking-off ! In open fields, rabbits are hunted, but of course not on an airport. I use the same licences that in File:Square Max Hymans (Paris).jpg. Please update them if they are not OK.

I noticed your contribution to discussion Gary, Indiana, and then read the BLP discussion [1]. It "hardened" my position of general tolerance to one of feeling that many "Notable" sections don't belong in Wiki. (And I'm considering deleting them, as encountered.)
Subjectively, first, I'm uneasy that the Notability sections are being used for promotion of individuals or cities. Objectively -- since I do a fair amount of anti-vandalism -- I'm concerned that the sections are targets for unverifiable information.
But what really seems a problem is that there is an unstated, implicit assumption that something about a city is relevant to a person's notability. Let's assume -- for the sake of discussion -- that I am notable. I was born in a famous city. However, I was raised in another city; it is unusual for a different reason, and it greatly affected me (and my hypothetical notability). However, I left that city and moved to still another city. It is that city where I have had my (hypothetically notable) career. Which city do I think influenced me most strongly? The second. Which city influenced me next-to-most strongly? None of them, it's another city I lived in for a few months. If I was very notable, wouldn't all (four) cities like to "claim me as their own"? Including cities that I wouldn't care to identify myself with?
So, quite apart from promotion and vandalism issues, there doesn't seem to be a compelling argument that a notable who has lived in a city is notably associated with it. Thoughts? Should notable people who aren't worked into article text be included at all? Regards, Piano non troppo ( talk) 04:28, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

"In determining consensus, consider the quality of the arguments..."
Consider, not "a quality argument automatically means consensus" (that is how you proceeded).
It does not say to go ahead and make the change before people have come to a consensus. And, no, just because you didn't get a response for 1 1/2 days (I've waited 1 1/2 months before) that doesn't mean that you were granted consensus. -- Tim Sabin ( talk) 08:52, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
You said on my page: "You said: 'I've waited 1 1/2 months before' - was this a result of an ongoing discussion? If so, this is different and distinct from a lack of activity." Hi, im sorry for the trouble, i got your note... IMO it is best to give the most neutral factual point of view, if you insist on a review in the article then it should highlight the pros and cons in a manner that allows the reader to make up their own mind, otherwise why not include EVERY review of the book on the page? If the domokun comic has its own wikipedia page I can see the benefit to reviews, but it seems unnecessary in a Domokun topic about Domokun. I see you do a lot of good work here, and it is much appreciated even if we may not end up agreeing on this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.191.49.61 ( talk) 08:43, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Good question. I would say not to change it right now, but perhaps to start a new thread on the project talk page regarding how to change the scope of the project. Hi WhisperToMe,
A user (Mcorazao) editing the Galveston Bay Area article thinks that Ellington Field is located in the city of Pasadena, which it is not. Other Houston area editors are having a discussion trying to explain that it is actually in the city limits of Houston.
This user is also editing the article and making references to Clear Lake City as if it is a city/municipality/jurisdiction of its own. In addition, the user do not acknowledge that any part of southeast Houston is within the so-called Bay Area.
The user is also unwilling to acknowledge that JSC is located in Houston, which it is.

Hi,
For tour Pascal, you have already an image on Commons. I think that it is a general view and that there is no problem of "No FOP in France". I went there and took a picture of the building, but it is not fine because it is impossible to take picture at good distance from the building. I will not take a better image than the one on Commons.
I have an image of tour Areva (formerly tour Fiat). But I have to mind if I am allowed to import it on Commons (general view) or only on en Wiki.
You have on commons images of HQ of the french banks BNP-Paribas and LCL (formerly Credit Lyonnais). They are old buildings. So no pb of "no FOP"
Do you need other images in La Defense. Unhappily, I have to visit my dentist there, and I can take some pictures for you.-- Tangopaso ( talk) 08:55, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Several things: Firstly, I can't seem to upload to the commons at the moment; my connection times out. So I posted them to En.wiki and will have a bot move them to the commons later.
The first photo is of the original 1894 Central High School for African Americans. It was heavily damaged in the 1900 Hurricane and although repaired, does not look much like the original gothic structure. In 1905 a "Colored" branch of the Rosenberg Library was constructed, as an addition, to the west end of the building. I've left the sourcing for this temporarily on the photograph's talk-page. Today the building is used as a community center.
Also, Central Middle School. I will be in town until Friday, if you can think of other places that need photographing. I'm going to try to take photos of Galveston Catholic School, Sacred Heart Catholic School (which will be torn down shortly), and Alamo Middle School. -- nsaum75 ¡שיחת! 04:17, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

I uploaded on EN wiki La_mairie_de_Puteaux_le_matin.jpg from FR. I guaranty that it is the town hall of Puteaux. The image is fine, I will not do better. I used it in the article about Puteaux.
I am OK to look for images of the town hall of Courbevoie and of the l'Oreal HQ. But I will probably have to wait until spring, because now days are short. It is night when I go to work or when I go back home.

Look, I'm sorry, but you're wrong here with regards to how Wikipedia operates. An image cannot be both free and non-free- yes, the image itself is free, but it is of a non-free building, and so must be treated as non-free. Tagging an image as both free and non-free is pointless. As for the claim that "images of corporate headquarters (and former corporate headquarters) are important for articles about companies"; sorry, but you don't get a "free" non-free image to show the company headquarters. Unless the appearance of the building is of particular significance (and, in this case, I really don't think it is) then we can't use a non-free image. J Milburn ( talk) 11:21, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

KING RUSSAL SCOTT HIP HOP*** Ring tones $$
Hip hop began in the 70's with rappers delight. Outside of a few hits from our parent’s generation like signified monkey. The Hip hop generation had a tendency to take old sound tracks and create new ones and add their own words. Sometimes the words were ad lib; sometimes they were verbal portraits of the citations and circumstances of the day to day life from the environment in witch the artist/writers were living. Sometimes poetry was marinated in a musical beat from our parent’s generation and produced millions of dollars for minorities. Later minorities grew to the level of getting a bigger piece of the pizza or pie and began going thru the process of developing their own manufacturing companies/record labels. The manufacturing bar code on the back of CD's are similar to the manufacture bar code on products that were manufactured on our entire store shelves. These people who own these companies with these labels and products on store shelves generally take in millions of dollars. This means we have arrived. Kids are producing these same companies in their family homes by molding their parent’s generation. They are studying dictionaries at a rate probably never seen before. Doing away with illiteracy at a rapid pace. In the seventies there were allot of people who played it off as though they could read and really could not. We are growing. When people make allot of money they have to reinvest the money in the economy. Sometimes this money ends up in the minority communities in the form of business allowing additional jobs where people can pick up survival skills by working there. Hip Hop generation grew up with R and B and Rap.
Our Parents or Grandparents mothers and fathers came up on mostly Religious music and told their kids that they were going to go to Hell if they listed to secular music. (Music that didn't reference god). Our parents and or Grandparents listen to the same music as they did as teens even after 40ys of age. Their parents always thought that people in their forties listed to religious music or music of their time. Our parents still listen to what they grew up on today and they still make their music till this day. So will Hip Hop. There is nothing left to talk about.
The woofers and amps for the base are the people in their 40's generation. Fausegate and M&M 16, 12, 10 and 8inch are ours. We made police write noise pollution tickets because of pictures in homes falling off walls due to base vibrating thru the home from low riders on the slab with elbows and Vogue tires, classics & vogues tires, centerlines with skinny runners in front, super lights sometimes with runners. Paint jobs with metal flakes or scraped down to look wet and not to mention pearl. Holly wood tops like open carved roofs or t-tops. Teardrops carved inside of car with antennas and possibly a 5th wheel like our fathers generation digging in the scene with a gangster lien period. You just bring things back from the former generation and create new additions for your newer generation. This is what’s expected by the newer generation. I'm not passing any torch to the next generation. My torch is for life. My parents didn't stop their thing because we came on the scene and keep on doing their thing and we just keep on doing ours. They made their music and generated millions in the economy and still do and so will our generation from 30yrs to 45 years old. WE PLAY FOR KEEPS. OUR LIVES ARE EMORTILIZED IN MUSIC AND VIDEO. The kids grew up watching our real life re in acted on videos. We have substance and have lived to see real life that people identify with. Hip Hop also served as a Pedestal to speak out. Slavery day’s music had messages. We are not going to stop anything because someone won’t something and cripple billions on dollars from circulation in the US economy. We simply can not afford it. BLACK BUSINESSES IS WHERE WE ARE AND HEADED...WITH A TRACK RECORD FOR SUCCESS. DO THE SAME THING. Experiment on the side and change. Then see if it works. I haven't been seeing that many platinum hit lately. You don't change things when you reach a successful routine when money is on the line as in tear thing apart to attempt to put back together if it isn't broken. Disassemble?? Cause a rippling and domino effect that an inexperienced mind can't calculate nor fix. They haven't lived enough life to even calculate repercussions down the line into darkness on an industry.

And there are also highways forbidden to pedestrians. I hope that the photos will please you. There are thousands of rabbits on the CDG airport. You see them from the plane before taking-off !

I don't really know which program should be used- I generally use a Windows PowerToy to reduce images, but I'm not really a technical whizz... J Milburn ( talk) 09:23, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
This article could be expanded to a similar form as Azza Transport Flight 2241. The aircraft was involved in a minor incident in Korea in 2002 (details) and Flight Global has reported on the investigation. Mjroots ( talk) 09:06, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi WhisperToMe,
Can you delete Cougar High? A user recently created it as a redirect to the University of Houston. I have blanked the page for the time being until it is deleted. Thanks! — RJN ( talk) 09:43, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
I am neither a censor, nor an administrator. I dont want nominate for deletion any image, especially on this topic hard to understand for me. You wrote and I checked that you put "non free templates" on other images of recent french buildings, as they were on mine. It is OK for me.
I dont forget your requests of photo of Courbevoie townhall and Loreal HQ. Happily, I dont have to visit any more my dentist in la Defense. And according to the season, it is night before I go working or after hours. But I dont forget. In worst case, I will take these photos next april.-- Tangopaso ( talk) 20:09, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
