Please read the information at User:Sitush/Common#Castelists before adding any more names to lists. It is not sufficient for a source to say that a living person is a Koli - the source has to show that the person themselves says it, ie: they self-identify.

I think you should reconsider your interests here. Aside from the issues above, which impact on many of your edits, I and other people have also had to revert you because of very poor phrasing, use of inappropriate sources and a very obvious attempt to "promote" Koli people regardless of whether their alleged Koli status even mattered. Not every edit of yours has been poor - there are at least four or five that were ok, where you limited yourself to linking something ( Koli people, usually, as it happens).
Please read the information below. If you continue to contribute in this tricky area of caste articles, and in particular if you maintain close to one particular topic within it, such as Koli stuff, then you are going to have to up your game, which probably involves taking things much slower, asking about things before doing them, and spending more time familiarising yourself with how things work here. - And you have just done it again here. That is an edit of yours that I reverted previously only a few hours ago and will now have to revert again. The fact, if indeed it is a fact, that one admiral was a Koli is not significant to our article, and using a newspaper interview to support an alleged factual statement about something that happened centuries ago is not good practice - if it is significant then academic sources will have covered it. In addition, the source doesn't even say what our sentence now says following your change: the source says that one admiral was a Koli but the sentence implies that a multitude of Koli people were in charge, which tends to suggest that many of the ships were captained by them etc. I'm pinging Bishonen because this is getting silly - it took me a couple of hours to fix all of your edits since December and I'm not particularly keen on the idea of this being an ongoing situation. - This is another. We do not use Raj era sources for statements about caste/tribe affiliations etc. I know that you did not add those sources and that they do not say what the article said before your arrival, but nor do they say Chauhan, which you have left in there or Kshatriya, which you added. As I am sure you are aware, Chauhans are not Kolis, and while our article for Thakor has recently said that Thakors are Kshatriya (you edited it that way), that also is not sourced properly, it is inappropriate to assume that the same applies at some other article, and it is in fact a logical implausibility because Koli people are tribal and Kshatriya is a Hindu caste/varna concept - tribal people are not part of the Hindu caste system and so claiming such a title is pretty much rewriting history to suit some sort of personal glorification agenda. What you should have done, I think, is remove the Raj sources and all mentions of caste that are reliant on them, replacing with {{ cn}}. - And you have just done it again here. That is an edit of yours that I reverted previously only a few hours ago and will now have to revert again. The fact, if indeed it is a fact, that one admiral was a Koli is not significant to our article, and using a newspaper interview to support an alleged factual statement about something that happened centuries ago is not good practice - if it is significant then academic sources will have covered it. In addition, the source doesn't even say what our sentence now says following your change: the source says that one admiral was a Koli but the sentence implies that a multitude of Koli people were in charge, which tends to suggest that many of the ships were captained by them etc. I'm pinging Bishonen because this is getting silly - it took me a couple of hours to fix all of your edits since December and I'm not particularly keen on the idea of this being an ongoing situation. - This is another. We do not use Raj era sources for statements about caste/tribe affiliations etc. I know that you did not add those sources and that they do not say what the article said before your arrival, but nor do they say Chauhan, which you have left in there or Kshatriya, which you added. As I am sure you are aware, Chauhans are not Kolis, and while our article for Thakor has recently said that Thakors are Kshatriya (you edited it that way), that also is not sourced properly, it is inappropriate to assume that the same applies at some other article, and it is in fact a logical implausibility because Koli people are tribal and Kshatriya is a Hindu caste/varna concept - tribal people are not part of the Hindu caste system and so claiming such a title is pretty much rewriting history to suit some sort of personal glorification agenda. What you should have done, I think, is remove the Raj sources and all mentions of caste that are reliant on them, replacing with {{ cn}}. Even though I do believe they contribute in good faith, it's not acceptable to have a situation where a highly competent editor like Sitush has to spend hours fixing their edits, and where I can't see any learning curve. Thakor Sumant Sinhji Jhala, if you are indeed leaving Wikipedia (and note that you don't have to do that, as Sitush says), I won't bother you with any sanctions right now. But if you continue editing, it seems likely that I will have to limit the kinds of contributions you're allowed to make, by banning you from caste-related topics.
