In this connection you might find it useful to look through the guidance in our Primer. I've also been editing Hacienda Demiñho which needed quite a lot of work (particularly tenses) to bring it up to acceptable standards. When translating from another language, for attribution purposes you need to mention this in your first edit (see Help:Translation). (I've now added an explanation to one of my editing comments.)
