Hi! If you could, would you please edit your closure comment on the AFD page for The Galaxy Being? It currently says "The result was keep. to delete." which is a bit confusing. Thanks! -- Captain Infinity ( talk) 15:26, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
With all respect, SM, I think you may have erred in your closing of this AfD. Even though I was the nominator, it looked to me, at the very least, like the Keeps had the upper hand by far, both in terms of the number of !votes and the momentum. I would perhaps suggest reopening and/or relisting this. This is just a suggestion; I'm not a sysop and don't pretend to know how to make these decisions. It's just how I see things. You just closed an AfD on St. Lawrence with St. Paul's, Kirkdale with the decision to redirect to Kirkdale, Merseyside#Places of Worship. I fully agree. Question: I have come across this type of AfD three times lately, and twice have made a "Places of Worship" section in the town entry, as was done here, then have done a quick search and added the more obvious list entries with a brief description and link. E.g.
Is it correct to include the website link? My instinct is that it is useful to viewers who want more information, but I suppose it could be seen as advertising? Aymatth2 ( talk) 03:30, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, look at our approval by the Chapters Committee, develop ideas for chapter projects at museums and libraries throughout our region, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the November meeting's minutes and the December mini-meetup's minutes).
We'll make preparations for our exciting museum photography Wikipedia Loves Art! February bonanza ( on Flickr, on Facebook) with Shelley from the Brooklyn Museum and Alex from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
We'll also be collecting folks to join our little Wikipedia Takes the Subway adventure which will be held the day after the meeting.
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and generally enjoy ourselves and kick back.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our

StarM, Thanks for the info about the museums project and registry of historic places. While the Greater Astoria Historical Society does have museum type exhibits and artifacts, I'm not sure if it qualifies as a museum? The reason i set up a separate accounts is that all the edits I've made under Winged Fist are related to the Irish American Athletic Club or other athletic organizations. I'd like to have a separate login for edits I plan to make related to Queens history and a corresponding separate user page to keep these two subjects distinct. Is here any problem with doing this? Hello,
I trust that you are well.
You recently deleted an article that I started, Affiliate Window, and I would just like some tips as to how I can get this live with your help. It was deleted under G11 of your protocols - Advertisements or spam. I believe that the reason could be that I possibly used words such as "dynamic" and "world-leading expertise" to describe the company and this appears to be a no no :-)
I would very much appreciate some guidance with the intent to get this article published.
