Hi. Regarding this edit of yours. Just letting you know that stub template tags should be transcluded.
Do not copy/paste the contents of the stub template itself into articles. In this case your edit included the addition the stub templates' respective categories to the article, causing miscategorization of the article and also causing the categories to be included this week's Wikipedia:Database reports/Template categories containing articles.
Instead, for a biology-related stub, add {{Biology-stub}}
as explained at
Template:Biology-stub and it will produce the same message and it will automatically add the article to
Category:Biology stubs.
I have fixed the problem here, while also using the most specific stub template available, which is also best-practice. Thanks for your time and for all you do. Cheers! -- DB1729 talk 01:37, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
So I just memorize the syntax and add it?
Typing {{...-stub}}
produces the message shown at the beginning, and adds the article to the following category:
" But yes, if you can just remember to wrap the name of the template in double curly brackets {{}}
you will find that very useful, because in fact, that's the syntax for all templates.how do I find the most specific template? I knew that that was best practice, but I didn’t know how to find it.
It is one thing to want to fight vandalism. Another entirely to have the right skills. This edit of yours was erroneous. See Gross anatomy. Please do not intefere with articles where you lack the specialist knowledge to know the difference between a term of art, and vandalism. -- Tagishsimon ( talk) 21:59, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
I added Glenn Dicterow and Larry Gagosian to the alumni list. My citation is that I attended Grant High School when they did and knew them there. I am the primary source. My name is Ken Krich. 73.15.20.133 ( talk) 05:54, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
