I know for a fact May 15th is the correct release date. I have the proof. It came from the inside sleeve of The Eagles' 1982's Greatest Hit's Vol. 2 LP. Go to: www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/9602051 and it will take you to The Eagles' Greatest Hits Vol. 2 vinyl page. When you get to that page, carefully scroll down until you find images. Under the word, images, the first image on the left you will see is the back of the vinyl cover. The second image is the front of the inside sleeve. And the third image is the back of the inside sleeve. And The front and back of the inside sleeve has The Eagles discography including the solo discographies, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey. And above each and every album has an original release date. Click on the third image to enlarge, and you will see Joe Walsh's Discography. And right above There Goes The Neighborhood album, You will see, May 15, 1981. I also remember looking at those release dates on that sleeve at a record store years ago. it is confirmed by Nintendo that Luigi and Daisy has a relationship. If you play Mario Kart Wii, you see a golden statue of Luigi and Daisy dancing and in Mario Strikers, one of Daisy's dialogue saids "Hey Sweetie." So it's not fan-fiction. To be clear, while their is no obligation to format references, Wikipedia admin should be encouraging good standards in that it says at Wikipedia:Citing sources#Variation in citation methods: "If all or most of the citations in an article consist of bare URLs, or otherwise fail to provide needed bibliographic data – such as the name of the source, the title of the article or web page consulted, the author (if known), the publication date (if known), and the page numbers (where relevant) – then that would not count as a "consistent citation style" and can be changed freely to insert such data. The data provided should be sufficient to uniquely identify the source, allow readers to find it, and allow readers to initially evaluate it without retrieving it. Further it says at Wikipedia:Citing sources#Generally considered helpful: "improving existing citations by adding missing information, such as by replacing bare URLs with full bibliographic citations: an improvement because it aids verifiability, and fights link rot". No, I can't imagine it, because there's a ton of editors who go around doing it all the time, and I've never asked them to do it once. As such, my work rarely suffers from linkrot, and certainly not when I'm writing an article consisting entirely out of sources that were published today. Hey there, so I've just added image to a Wikipedia Article! I feel so proud of myself.

The article is Kenji Yamamoto. He was missing an image for the infobox, so I went to Wikimedia and added the image and put it into the article. Now, I wanted to ask you if you can see if the image was I guess legal enough to put an image there. I just wanted to make sure if I was allowed to do that and wanted to make sure if the photo was appropriate.

I got it from the official Nintendo website. I even credited the author, Nintendo.

So is it okay?

I dont really deal with images on Wikipedia, so you may want to go to someone else fir help on that one. I don't really think you can just take images off of Nintendo's website though, even if you credit them. I think it's likely it will be removed or deleted. I won't hold that against you though. 1. If a game doesn't even have a name yet, it's generally too early to publish an article for it. You're welcome to create a WP:DRAFT or keep working on it in your sandbox. But it is far from being ready to be reviewed or made an article.

Just a tip - generally speaking, people don't forget to make super popular articles like this. If something extremely popular doesn't have an article, there's probably a reason. There's a reason why articles like this or Grand Theft Auto 6 or Persona 6 don't have an article yet. We don't make articles when there's virtually nothing to be said about them. What do we do if a page gets constantly vandalized or falsely edited by a troll or editor?

Do we use Vadalism protection like we do with Super Mario 64 and Sonic The Hedgehog (example). Because someone messed up the entire infobox for Super Mario 64 DS because of one editor that doesn't even have an account. I had to revert it, it was left thier for 2 days!

So do we use the vandalism protection on that article or is it not that important? GeekFreak98 ( talk) 16:08, 19 January 2021 (UTC)

Generally, you can either put in a request at WP:RFPP or ask an Admin to do it for you. Keep in mind that:

1. There generally needs to be a pattern of current and recent issues. Let's say, 5 instances of vandalism or disruptive editing in the last 3 days, or 10 incidents over the course of the last month. It'll likely be rejected if there hasn't been many bad edits, or if it's been a few days since the last bad edit.
2. Per WP:VANDALISM, vandalism is specifically bad-faith edits. That means that if someone may have had good intentions, it's generally not considered vandalism. So let's say someone writes a couple paragraphs about Sonic's red shoes on his article. That's probably not necessary, and should be removed on the grounds of being excessive. But if the info was true and well-written, it probably wouldn't be considered vandalism because they probably had good intentions. On the other hand, let's say someone changes "Sonic the Hedgehog" to "Sonic the Poop". That's going to be considered vandalism every time, because there's no realistic reason to believe that anyone had good intentions or thought that was real. Someone fucked up all the page history and improperly tried to move things around. It's currently located at Appeal to Reason (band), previously being named simply Appeal to Reason (now a dab). It was incorrectly moved in the first place to Appeal to Reason (band), then someone tried to fix it manually by redirects. What I am requesting specifically is that you delete Appeal to Reason (album), the new article, and then move the current "band" article with the history to the proper disambiguation of "album". I made this edit because there was no reference to the event being called the "2036 problem". Hi there Gouyash. So, while it doesn't outright "2036 problem", it pretty clearly describes a problem that occurs in 2036", so I didn't see much of an issue. I believe it was just modeled after 2038 problem. If you're determined, I'm open to rewording, but I felt that your sub in of "Sad Mourning" to be less than ideal since it's not quite as understandable or straightforward as "2036 problem".

You could also start a discussion on the article talk page and see what suggestions pop up too. I know the article may not seem to have much traffic, but I believe it was primarily written and maintained by Alexandra IDV. Hi, you're probably right and it would need additional info or just better phrasing to make sense. The reason I take problem with the "2036 problem" is because it makes it seem like a predicted event, like y2k. (Also, the 2038 problem is different and comes after. I was confused about that too before all the research I had to do. Making both problems caused by dates in computers is not ideal for clarity.) To my knowledge no one knew this was going to happen.

The question is: How do you determine what makes a video game character notable enough for their own page? Do you follow pre-existing guidelines or have your own opinions on the matter?

Good idea. Let me know what your results are. For me, I handle it the same way I do handle writing song articles.

1. Are there 3-4 detailed articles discussing the character specifically in significant detail?
2. Can I write at least 2-3 paragraphs about the character from said sources?
3. Can I add sourced content about the character outside of the context of the video game their from? (Are they in other games? Other media? Had a controversy about them?

If I answer yes to all three, then I'm generally in favor of an article. If the answer is no, then I'm generally against a stand alone article. So all in all, it's basically the GNG + being able to expand it out of stub status. Sergecross73 msg me 19:53, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi Serge. I have a couple questions regarding images. I came across Coney Island (Taylor Swift song) and saw that cover art had been added to the Infobox by Serggg.02. It was already determined on the talk page that this image was fan-made, though. I removed the image, but I am unsure of whether to add {{ orfud}} to the page or not, as it has been determined that this is a fan-made cover art and I’m unsure if it is still non-free. As well, the file won’t be used in any articles anyways, so does it quality for speedy deletion? I also think it’s worth mentioning that the file was also uploaded to Commons yesterday. I'm not sure if it's speedy-worthy or not, but images not being used anywhere for 7 days are generally deleted anyways, so considering it has no real place on Wikipedia, it's on track to be deleted soon either way. Hello Sergecross73, I need your help with this page. Recently, there is this user who has constantly always new IP and he is messing with the page of the album. The same situation we had was kinda the same like when they messed with the page of The Amity Affliction. User Walter Görlitz fixed that issue. I always reverted his edits, but he is always going back and revert my revert, calling me a vandal and also gave me an unreasonable warning. I don't know if you can do something with that, but I do need your help. Recently, the protection was there for awhile until the page was moved and now the protection is gone. I've added it to my watchlist and will keep an eye on it moving forward. It looks like the disruption hasnt been that bad in recent days, so I'm hesitant to protect it yet, but I will if the disruption returns full force. Sergecross73 msg me 14:42, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
